Top Shalimar Hotel Reviews

Wavecrest Lodge

8/10 Good

"Feel that the hotel is very clean but my room had a couch that had big dirty stains on it. I did not want to sit on that couch. Everything else was clean. I have mixed emotions with staff. Feel they were not friendly at all, helpful yeah, and don’t want to say they were rude, just that they almost had no expression in there faces (was weird), no demeanor and never greeted anyone with a hello, welcome, or anything else. To the exception of one staff in the entire hotel. I stayed there for 3 days and felt always the same, from the start of checking-in to check-out. Location is very good, has quick access to the beach, pool, but I don’t think I would stay there again if I was to return to that area, unfortunately. Overall, clean rooms, decent breakfast options, good location…"

The Island Resort & Convention Center at Fort Walton Beach

"Great resort right off the beach and ocean access. Many amenities right on site including two pools, hot tub, restaurant and beach bar. Only knock I would say is grato pool was not heated so like an ice bath in late October. Staff very friendly, we didn’t take advantage of food options on-site but looked like nice options. They were in the middle of rebounding from hurricane damage with replacement of hallway flooring so had to walk around that construction process. Would stay again when everything is open and running."
