"We recently stayed at Falcon Manor for a weekend getaway and were absolutely blown away. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome – the building itself is stunning, set in beautiful grounds with sweeping views over the Dales. Our room was immaculate, full of character with high ceilings, period details, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and well-equipped, with lovely touches like L’Occitane toiletries and fluffy towels. We especially enjoyed the peaceful view from our window—it was the perfect place to relax after a day of walking. The food was a real highlight. Breakfast was generous and freshly cooked (the Eggs Benedict were a standout), and dinner in the restaurant was delicious—thoughtfully presented and full of flavour. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Nothing felt rushed or impersonal. The location is ideal if you're looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales. It's just a short walk from the centre of Settle and close to the Settle–Carlisle railway. We even brought our dog, and the hotel was incredibly dog-friendly—treats at reception and a warm welcome all around. Overall, Falcon Manor felt like a special blend of country-house charm and modern comfort. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend it for couples, walkers, or anyone looking for a stylish countryside escape."

"We stayed here for two nights. Lovely and clean with everything we needed. Very quiet, beautiful views and location and perfect for walking straight from the front door. Very tasty breakfasts. Would definitely recommend. "

"I had a worry that the cottage might be a little small but we had loads of room due to the layout being over three floors. The decor was smart and we had everythign we needed. It was very hot the day we arrived so it was particularly good to have the lounge in the basement. A few little niggles, none of them dealbreakers. There was a lot of noise from the pub at the back on Saturday night, which was annoying. While everything was very clean, the towels smelled a little musty. Parking was a little challenging but we had been given information about alternatives, which was fair enough. "

"Came to settle for some 3 peaks hiking and to meet up with old friends for joint birthday celebrations. Woodstock cottage was ideally located for train travel with substantial baggage. The cottage was great, had everything needed for my 5 night stay. Loved the reclining sofa, fully equiped kitchen, comfy beds and bathtub. Kate was a great host and added thoughtful extra touches like milk in the fridge and a small welcome hamper. Could not have had a better stay in this value for money cottage. "

"Very basic rooms. One person seems to do all work from cooking to serving. Very helpful and friendly. But place badly needs more staff to clean and serve. One man cannot manage. Hotel in gear location to discover town and railway station by foot. Take car driving into hotel carpark as very narrow. Some good local beers on offer at bar. "
