The Sea Ranch is a relaxing destination for a family or friend getaway.



The Space:

Deer View is a bright and sunny meadow home featuring distant blue ocean views. You will thoroughly enjoy the prime location situated near One Eye'd Jacks playground and within a few blocks to 5 separate beaches: Shell Beach, Maternity Beach (April and May), Tide Pool Beach, Drift Dune Beach, and Walk-On Beach. Don't forget to bring your furry companion along on your Sea Ranch vacation, Deer View is pet-friendly!



A beautifully landscaped entryway leads up to the glass front doors. You will have access to two outdoor parking spaces for their vehicles. Upon entry, enjoy a spacious open room design showcasing a great room with tiled flooring throughout the living room/dining room/kitchen areas.



This cavernous space is perfect for larger groups or families, and boasts a 32" flat screen TV, WIFI, wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, wide-paned windows for an abundance of natural light. A washer and dryer are tucked away convenient for any wet swimsuits after a dip in the hot tub.



The custom upscale kitchen has stainless steel appliances and a large island including a breakfast bar for 2. Cook delicious dinners for all your guests. There are 2 ovens but the lower oven is not working. The dining area seats 6 to 8 guests. Bring a bottle of your favorite wine to store in the built-in wine rack.



Nearby is an attached alcove is perfect for any children you may traveling with. The alcove has 2 Twin-size sofa sleepers, and a flatscreen TV and DVD player. Across from the alcove is a guest bedroom furnished with a Twin and Twin trundle (bedroom has a barn-style large door). This guest bedroom has private access to the furnished back deck ideal for blue water ocean viewing. The second guest bedroom holds a Queen-size bed. There is a full guest bathroom for everyone to share. The master en suite bedroom has a King-size bed, 27" flat screen TV, wood-burning fireplace (great for ambiance), lofted space with a built-in desk, and private bathroom. The master bathroom has a walk-in shower. Please note, most of the TV's in the home are smart TV's.



Soak in the hot tub under the Northern California sun in the enclosed courtyard. The courtyard is assembled with a private circular hot tub, picnic table, and lounge chairs. This enclosed space is also great for letting your dog to sniff around.



There are (2) exterior security cameras at this property. One is facing the courtyard and one is facing the driveway.

Firewood is not provided.

Propane grill available.



The Sea Ranch is a planned community with over 3000 acres featuring: The Historic Sea Ranch Chapel, The Sea Ranch lodge (restaurant and shopping), a 50-mile trail system with 6 public beach access points, dog park, and 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, half-basketball court, and tennis courts (amenities vary with each center) for guest use. RV's, trailers, or mobile homes are strictly not allowed.



The Sea Ranch facility reservations for pool and tennis are available on the Sea Ranch Association website. The trails and beaches are open.



This home is pet friendly. A maximum of 2 dogs may be brought to this home. Please note that there is an additional Pet Fee of $75 per pet that is not included in your final booking cost. To pay your Pet Fee, please contact the Customer Care Team after booking.

We've stayed in three other homes at Sea Ranch. Each had its charms. This was our favorite. We were there for several weeks with our two dogs. We liked everything about this home. It was spacious, clean, good amenities. The little courtyard out front was a welcome touch with beautiful plants, some privacy, a little bit of outdoor space for the dogs. Nice hot tub. What makes this home special is its excellent location - short walks to both Walk On Beach and Shell Beach. Well situated in relation to Gualala.Grand Welcome was helpful to work with - much easier than past experiences with Vacasa.In the not everything is perfect department - the Internet doesn't work at all in one bedroom and sparsely in the other (both have nice beds!) The water takes a long time to warm up and if you use too much the entire water will shut off for the house. Schedule showers accordingly.Also - respect the signs about raccoons! They are definitely about and active. We had a Thule on top of our car with footprints leading up to it and had a couple of visual sightings.All in all a really nice stay in a really nice house. Highly recommended.

This house worked wonderfully for two parents and four teenagers. The house is perfectly located within Sea Ranch, very close to the ocean and within walking distance of two wonderful beaches. The home was clean, quiet and had plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely stay here again - thank you!

Over Done

The house was clean and well out fitted. Great location. Our only problem was the amount of signs pasted all over the house. It truly wrecked the ambiance. There was a sign every three feet. An example of the signs were keep windows closed because of raccoons. Three feet down the wall near the thermostat, don’t touch the thermostat, open the windows. Seriously? I felt I was in a Motel Six in the middle of Nevada. We have never had that experience in Sea Ranch. Other properties put all the notices in a binder which we would have been fine with.

What a hidden gem! Loved it!

My husband, my two kids ages 13 and 10 stayed here for three nights. What a wonderful home! The kids have never liked a vacation I’ve planned so far, but they loved this one. They’re talking about the next time we go to Sea Ranch. Total win!

Lovely House

We had the best time at the Deer View house! It was clean and very spacious for my family of 4. Great location to the bluff trail and Shell Beach. My kids loved walking to the playground everyday down the street. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Family new year's celebration

We were four adults and four children here to celebrate the New Year. The location was excellent- we were extremely close to the playground and one of the wider beaches (I'm forgetting the name) perfect for hours and hours of kids having fun. The house is very cozy and it was perfect for all of us. As another guest notes in the review: there are two dedicated bedrooms with doors that close, there is a room with two fold-out couches that has a folding screen you can set up for privacy and there is a room off the kitchen that has a sliding barn-style door. For us, the adults slept in the bedrooms and the kids slept in the room with the fold-out screen. It did mean that at kid bedtime, we were pretty limited in what we could do, since that room is connected and exposed to the kitchen and living room, but for us it worked fine-- but something to note for other groups. The hot tub is wonderful and there's an outdoor shower with hot water. We cooked all our meals easily in the kitchen (to note: supplies are limited, for example, no spices.) Another note: there are lots of games and kid toys and some kid books. Some of the toys are not functional, but our kids still enjoyed the novelty of the items. There's a fire place, though we never used it. There's no speaker system that we could find, so if you enjoy music, you should bring a portable speaker. There are tvs in every room. You'll need to sign in to your own streaming accounts. We greatly enjoyed this home.

Great location, amazingly warm home

Kids my husband and our two dogs enjoyed this house. It is airy, beautiful, with warm floors, which is amazing feature, located in walking distance to shore trail and beaches. And short distance to the pool. The view and patio is not ideal but it did not destruct us from enjoying our vacation. Strangely for the caliber of this rental, the cleaning supplies were very limited and cooking utensils suboptimal. The vacuum was old and semi functional, and despite our best efforts to get rid of the sand from the beach before entering, it accumulated and was a chore to clean. There was no gas grill and no coal or wood for wood burning fireplace provided, but in all we will be filled with many positive memories and just hope the management may make improvements that would enhance the stay of its guests to come.

Great house for family vacation

House was great for our family of 4 plus dog. We enjoyed that it was large, airy, with views of the water (and a trail down to the water was close to the house). 5-10 min to Gualala for food and 10-15 min to Sea Ranch Lodge. Very quiet and peaceful.

Sea Ranch Get Away

Property was great and as advertised. Walk to the beach was short. Neighborhood was beautiful and can't be beat. We truly enjoyed our stay. Two minor details - (1) The shower in the master leaks. There's gaps between the tile and the glass which makes for a soaking wet floor outside the shower. (2) The washing machine didn't work. You turn it on, hear the door click locked but then the water never starts and the cycle eventually times out without starting. It was the same model we have at home, so I know it wasn't operator error. Also whomever rented before us must have had the same problem as there was already detergent and fabric softener in the dispenser, their cycle never ran either.

Nice house but some concerns

The Deer View house was pretty nice overall. Our main concern, however, is that it was listed as a 3 bedroom but only 2 bedrooms had doors & closets. The 3rd "bedroom" was really 2 different areas: one was identified as an alcove with 2 twin sofas and only had a folding screen for privacy. The other "room" was more like a half-room with a daybed/trundle (2 twins) right off the kitchen and its door was a slider barn-style door. This half room also had the only glass sliding door out to the back deck area, providing the ONLY access to the back deck from the house, so this bedroom became a main thoroughfare for everyone during the day. With several cooks in our family, we were also extremely disappointed with the cookware provided (many scratched teflon pans, etc). But having said all that, we had a wonderful time and loved the location, which was a short walk to the beach, perfect for the kids. We also enjoyed and watered the attractive fenced-in gardens in the front of the house adjacent to the hot tub.

Peaceful and fun vacation in Sea Ranch!

Our family (2 adults, 3 children) and our friends (2 adults, 1 child) had a wonderful time at this property for a week of summer vacation! We loved every moment: watching our kids and dog play on the beach; taking evening strolls along the cliffs; swimming at the nearby Rec center pools; playing tennis and pickleball; driving into Gualala to shop for delicious home-cooked meals; soaking in hot tub and enjoying the comfortable living areas in the evenings. It was a perfect rental property for our families' summer break.

The house was fine. Very comfortable. It was irritating, though, that the cleaning service in so stingy with supplies. Only three dishwasher pellets for a five night stay? No extra trash bags? Etc.

Beautiful House

This house was perfect, short walk to the beach, the house is very well maintained, very clean, open floor plan so everyone can gather, we stayed here for Thanksgiving, only thing...if you like to cook bring your own knives, also no mixer, so foodies come prepared. The master bedroom is beautiful with fireplace, nice big room, we have two labs so plenty of room for pups. Would defiantly stay again.
