"The unit itself was very nice, well appointed and in a great location. It had everything we needed to cook and bake. The fresh loaf of local bread was a really nice surprise. At the time of our stay (May 2024) the staircase down to the unit was under construction. The only way down to the unit was a dangerous trail with wobbly steps. This was a challenging climb in and out, but with luggage, it was a nightmare."

The furnishings are quite sparse but all nicely comfortable and functional, with very good facilities all around in the bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen. It is relaxingly quiet and private, and in a pleasant area. Great location for a visiting academic (as I am), with an easy walk to the university campus, lots of restaurants of all kinds nearby, and BART station. Best hotel to stay at in San Francisco
"When we got to the hotel we met Vanessa at the front desk she explained how I could upgrade for 13 dollars for a sky view which I was ecstatic for since it was my birthday trip. She sent us off to our room which unfortunately it was not ready and messy, but when we went down Vanessa upgraded us again to a new room and this one add a beautiful view of the bay. She made this trip very easy and not stressful, she was very communicative and made sure my boyfriend and I had everything we needed, I highly recommend especially if you are looking for a no stress hotel and ask for Vanessa."
