"The motel has an old school family travelers road motel feel, but is brand new and private and safe. The room felt newly renovated with a nostalgic feel. The check-in with Crystal was fast and easy. There are ample pieces of information for finding what you need while at the motel and regarding the surrounding area. The walk to the Saugutuk waterfront is an easy 15 minute walk. If you’re not a walker, there is a shuttle for $1 cash only to “downtown” Saugutuk. The hotel provides a beautiful outdoor seating area and a fire pit in the “backyard” if you want to cozy around a fire. There are also cafe settings outside the room to sit and watch the trees. We were there on a couples getaway and found it perfect for that. I can’t speak to how a family with young children would like it. We loved it. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Captain’s Quarters. "
"Nice renovated roadside motel with beautiful property and pool and friendly, informative staff. Rooms are small as old roadside motel rooms are, but nicely furnished and it was quiet when we were there. Would definitely return!"
"This is a well-run, clean location with about 30 units. Management is friendly and maintains the whole place daily. It is no-frills, 'what they provide is advertised and what they provide/do, they do very well.' It is quiet, the beds are comfortable, the place is safe, and it's convenient to the area attractions. Really nice outdoor pool and several firepits and/or covered grilling/eating locations spread around the property. We will stay again!"

"The house was spectacular! There are so many activities and amenities. The property manager was extremely responsive to any outage we had. The amenities inside and outside were phenomenal! The owners have thought of everything to make guests comfortable and entertained! The fire pits(4 of them!), the pool, sauna, the outdoor eating area, the front porch and all the athletic facilities kept everyone entertained! The basement amenities of pinball, ping pong, pool, foosball etc. was a fun way to cap off the day!The view of the lake was great! Nice area to walk and convenient to the downtown area! There was a storm the night before we arrived and the hot tub and pool were quite messy with debris when we arrived. The property manager immediately had someone out to clean everything up! Awesome response! "
"The apartment is perfect for a couple! It is in one of the best locations in Saugatuck. Across from the river and in walking distance of everything in town. Would definitely stay here again. "
Lake Michigan & channel, Saugatuck. 8 bedrooms, heated pool in season, hot tub
10/10 Excellent
"The eleven of us had a fantastic week at Petrichor! There was plenty of space for our three generations in four families to spend time together, or retreat to privacy. The home was immaculate, and extremely well stocked with everything from pantry staples to kitchen necessities to games to pool toys! The views from the living rooms and decks were just stunning-many hours were spent watching the boats and the wildlife! The lower level game room was a hit with the kids, and the pool was perfect for everyone. The beach was easily accessible and provided relaxation with beautiful views and plenty of seating around the fire pit. Andrea was very quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. There’s no better place to spend a week in summer!"
