"It is a restored old inn and just lovely. Views are great. Our room was on third floor with no elevator but even though I use a cane, it was do-able. There is a very nice wraparound porch to sit on with wicker chairs. "

"Kathy was a terrific host and this home is lovely. It is large with multiple living spaces, very clean, organized and inviting. The Sun Room got the most use so we could watch the fishing boats come and go and just enjoy each others company. The kitchen is a dream - quite large with everything you need and then some! The primary bedroom and ensuite bath was perfect for us. The king size bed was quite comfortable with high quality linens (so important and appreciated!). The weather was not the best the week we were there so we utilized the wood-burning stove and it was delightful. Warmed up the whole first floor. The home is close to everything in Gloucester! The train station, downtown, restaurants and the harbor are all within a 5-7 minute drive. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Kathy left a wealth of information on the area, the beaches, restaurants, etc. which was greatly appreciated. When we had a couple rainy days, she had indoor recommendations as well - we went Candle pin bowling for the first time and had a blast (also 5 minutes away)! Rockport is less that 15 minutes - we thoroughly enjoyed Halibut Point State Park and my son enjoyed downtown Rockport. We walked the Harbor walk out to Stage Fort Park. The train made the commute to Salem (30min) and Boston (60min) very convenient. Kathy was very accommodating, and very responsive to my texts, questions or requests. I would highly recommend this home and Kathy. "
