"We are from IB but live out of state now. We came for a weekend to visit family and found this cute house 2 blocks from the beach. Great price, very nice house inside and house. Owner was super helpful and communicative. We had an issue with the water not being hot. He got SDGE sent out within the hour to fix the problem and was apologetic. House has everything you need except food obviously. It was a awesome find and we will definitely be renting again if it's available for our next stay....

"We loved our stay at this house in Serra Mesa. The house is well laid out with a beautiful open kitchen/common area, and a large patio with multiple outdoor seating options. Bedrooms are all tucked away down the hall away from the common area, so anyone going to bed early will not be disturbed by those still awake. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you will need for cooking. The property manager responded quickly to the questions I had the first day. We loved this house and plan to stay...

"The house was perfect for our group of ten. 2 min walk to the beach. Bedroom descriptions are off...should be 1 king in master upstairs, 1 queen upstairs, 1 queen downstairs with a twin, and 4th bedroom has 3 twins. It was still perfect for us. Tub in master bath does not work, hot water handle is disconnected. Back yard is like a jungle oasis...gorgeous. Light switches are difficult to navigate. Very good pots and pans. Even with the small quirks, the home was perfect for us."

"Ok, after a few reminders to add a review, I was hesitant to say much because I was disappointed in the property care/maintenance overall. So here goes... The property could use some upgrades. Our introduction to the property was a unkept front patio. Recycle bin overloaded next to entrance. The first level bathroom had knats or mosquitos, the tub has a big rust ring and some standing water, Noticed the the first floor sink was slow draining, but eventually drained. "The VRBO was as cute and clean as advertised. The owner was quick to respond to an issue we had. We were in San Diego to see family and could prepare a couple of meals in the fully stocked kitchen. We felt safe in the neighborhood The only negative was the busy 4 lane street in front. However, it tells you that in the information and we knew it was a busy street. I would highly recommend Sand Dollar Villa and would stay there again."
