The photos actually don't do the place justice. It's much larger than anticipated. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We had everything we needed to cook and relax. I honestly can't say anything negative about the space. It was only 15 minutes from our first winery, less than a mile from a grocery story, and the neighborhood was quiet and homey. Absolutely loved staying here and would book here again.
This property is very comfortable. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and having leisurely dinners and wine from the vineyards we visited. Great location for accessing good wineries. The host is a great communicator. We found it to be an oasis at the end of the day. We would book it again.
Clean house with plenty of room. The only issues were the king sized bed was severely cupped on one side and needs to be replaced. Also, I was surprised that there was a 100 hot tub fee even though we didn't use the back yard. Overall, it was centrally located, spacious and clean in a tract home neighborhood.
The house was clean and beautiful. Nice of the owner to leave us a bottle of wine. There were some minor issues. We did have issues the first day with the main lines being clogged so we couldn't shower the first day till later in the evening but the owner responded quickly and got the plumbers out there and repaired that same day. Also one of the fire alarms in the hallway started randomly going off our last night. The only issues I really had was with the amenities listed in the ad. It specifically said there was garage parking which is the #1 reason we picked this listing because we wanted to park our motorcycles in the garage at night or when we werent riding but when we got there it was filled with household items so there was no room. One of the other big draws was it said there was a hot tub. When we arrived we found a sign on it stating you couldnt turn on the jets and use them because it would flip the breaker. That was a big let down. The only other minor issue was they listed a hair dryer listed on there as an amenity so none of us packed one but we looked all over and couldnt find one so had to go buy one. Like i said that one was just a minor inconvenience. Overall, still enjoyed ourselves but they should update the listing with this info so others aren't disappointed.
The house is nice, clean, well maintained and roomy. It was a great location for my group of nine adults to spend a weekend of hiking, biking, and rafting on the Russian River. I have stayed in VRBO properties before, but dealing with them for this stay really gave me a negative impression. Apparently, others who have stayed hear did not pay as much attention to the listing as I did to ensure there would be sufficient beds for nine people before I booked this location. The listing indicated there were 5 bedrooms, but we arrived to find only 3 bedrooms. I immediately called VRBO to complain. All they did was open a case #, request that I provide photographic evidence that there were only 3 bedrooms and put me in touch with Gary, who was unaware that the Ad was incorrect. My group made the best of the situation as four people slept on the sofas and floor in the common areas, but there wasn't sufficient bedding and blankets for doing this in the closets. Over the last week since we left, both Gary and I separately tried to get VRBO to take some responsibility and provide a partial refund for the incorrect listing. VBRO actually demanded that I provide evidence that the listing was incorrect after they had already changed it. Even after I sent them screenshots, depending on who I spoke to when I called, I got different responses as to their policies when these situations occur. Ultimately, it was all very unsatisfactory, but Gary, who is a good host, with a sense of fair play, kindly sent us a partial refund on his own after I gave up on VRBO taking any reponsibility. The house was nice, Gary was a good host, and I would stay here again. A word of warning to others: the parking area in front of the garage is at a right angle to the long driveway and it is difficult to manuver and park multiple cars in this area. I backed in and parked my car as close to the neighbors fence as possible to make room for another car. There are trees over this area that are frequented by a family of crows. By the time the weekend was over, my car was covered in crow poop.
This rental has potential but there were some key issues that I take issue with when I pay almost $1,000/night (with fees and tax) for a rental. Upon arriving we were very pleased with the location and the place was very cute and cozy. When we went to the bedrooms, however, it was extremely disappointing. The owner obviously resides at the property and there were NO available closets or drawers to unpack and put clothes away, they were all FULL. Not only were they full, but they were very messy and unkept, like they shoved everything in closets and drawers for our arrival. There were only 4 of us staying at the house and we could only round up 3 bath towels for our stay of 4 nights. There were 5 beach towels (one with holes) so at least we were able to each have a towel. We did find a washer/dryer in the garage, however, we did not feel comfortable using it as the garage had the owners personal items scattered all around. There were only 2 very flat pillows for use on a king size bed, which did not seem sufficient. We did not feel comfortable using the fluffy pillows with decorative covers as the instructions to the house specifically told us to strip the beds when we left and not remove the duvet cover or pillow covers (how are they cleaned then????) I don't think they are cleaned because the instructions said the maid charges $25 extra if we remove the coverings. We were too afraid to open the blinds in the master bedroom as there is a warning note on the instructions that you should not touch the fabric on the blinds because they cost $2,000 to replace. What a shame as the backyard is very cute and the master bedroom opens up to it with access to the hot tub. Lastly, we arrived late in the afternoon after traveling all day and were ready to get settled in for the night. We checked the instructions for the hot tub and furnace, etc and then noticed that there was a note that said, Keurig coffee maker is for your use, hope you brought K-cups with you. I expect more for the price charged for this rental. The backyard and hot tub are charming, however, the owner constantly reminded us to be mindful of his neighbors and not be too loud, etc. One reminder was enough. There was a note in the VRBO booking, a welcome note (with a bottle of wine) that also had the reminder to be mindful of the neighbors, and then again on the instructions of the house. For the price, a lot of details/ammenities were unavailable or missing.
The property & overall experience was excellent. The home truly checks all of the boxes! Great communication with the owner throughout the process- thank you, Gary!
Great place to stay for a group of people. Loved the outdoor fireplace.

James B. Andrade & Family
We had a small family group and found the home to be located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. It is as advertised. Truly a fine place to have a short vacation with family. It is large and very well kept. I believe that it would be very hard to find one better. For evenings outdoors, for sure, this home is the best. Hot tub, little waterfall, many lights available, and very cozy...

Fun, comfortable, relaxing, definite repeat
We have stayed at several VRBO's but this is my first review because we were so pleased. This is a home, fun comfortable relaxing. I wished someone played the piano or giuitar as they are available. Flowers and wine awaited us as well as the soothing calm of the patio water element. A definite return visit on our next wine country adventure, hopefully for a longer stay. Thank you Gary.
