This 5 bedroom, 5.5 bath cozy, but spacious beach house is located in the private, gated community of Old Florida Beach, and is modeled after the famous 1882 New Canal Lighthouse on Lake Pontchartrain in southeastern Louisiana.

New Canal Lighthouse is perfect for larger families as it sleeps 14 comfortably, with a large kitchen that will seat 15 for dinner, and 2 separate, but adjacent living areas for watching movies or playing games. The newly renovated kitchen features a gas stove, granite counter tops, a commercial ice maker, and an oversized island with bar seating perfect for recruiting everyone in the family to participate in preparing dinner. Each of the 5 bedrooms features a king bed, and there are 2 sofa sleepers for the kids or an unexpected overnight guest.

The community of Old Florida Beach has a community pool, and a private beach access, and is also conveniently located near Gulf Place Town Center, only 1.1 miles west, for dining and shopping. Don’t forget to rent bikes for the family, and enjoy exploring the Timpoochee bike trail, and all the fun and funky beach communities. Old Florida Village is a 30A favorite. Adult Spring Break

The house was just as shown Everything was extremely comfortable and furnishings two mattresses. Beach in a very short walk distance in the pool it’s fantastic. We would definitely come back.

Nice size

Accommodated all of the family. Very close to the beach! Plenty of parking for our 5 vehicles. Only down fall there was they were in a single line winch meant everyone had to move if the last car wanted out. But wasn’t that big of a deal. Beds were comfortable!

Family vaca

We had 12 adults a day 4 children, this property was a good size. Had issues with code checking in and for gate, was very late before we got a response and correct code. Also the 2nd day we were there the ice machine basically exploded and flooded the kitchen, and continued to do so for several days we were constantly cleaning it up and have in to wash/dry towels. It was 3 days before the problem was stopped. But the ice maker did not work after that. Overall our stay was adequate just a few annoyances and issues we had to constantly deal with and clean up after even though it was not our fault.

Family Beach Trip 2019

We stayed here with extended family for a week, 6 adults, 4 kids and 2 teenagers. Layout and size was perfect for our guests. We’ve been to this beach area along 30A five years straight now, and this was our favorite house and neighborhood yet. Beach access is quick and easy, about a 5 minute walk from the house to the ocean, making it easy to go back for forgotten items (which happens with small kids). The community also has a nice pool, also a 5 minute walk away with small kids, which was perfect for the kids to take a break from the ocean. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. The house was clean, well-kept and had all the essentials we needed. The kids really enjoyed the lookout tower. Our family all agreed we would stay here again!

Amazing!!

We stayed for a week over spring break and loved it!! The house had everything we needed and more. The kids loved the lighthouse tower, and the beach was a 2 minutes walk away. The beach was georgeous. We will be returning next year for our spring and hope to stay here again.

Nice size and all of the bedrooms are the same!

It was a nice property and close to the beach. It could use some sprucing up on the deck and carpet especially for the price. Dune Realty was very easy to work with and even let us check in early!

Best Beach Vacation!!

This is the sixth house we've stayed at in Old Florida Beach and we loved our stay here! The house was very spacious and a very functional set-up for visiting and entertaining us all. Couldn't have been happier. We especially loved the large table and kitchen set-up and loved the patio and long driveway for the kids. Each bedroom being the same with own bathroom definitely a plus also. Nice job on the updated décor!! Five star!!

Absolutely Perfect

We took a very last minute trip, and this house couldn't have been more perfect for our two families of four, plus my mom. We had teenagers in the house, and there was plenty of space. The entire house was comfortable and the beach was very close. I hope to rent here again in the future! Not only was the property clean, it was very stylish. I loved using the gas range and the granite countertops are beautiful. We loved the ice maker and separate fridge for beverages. It's nice to stay in beautiful homes when you vacation at the beach. The only thing that I didn't have with me, and I'm mentioning it for cold blooded people - is an extra blanket or two. The bedding is fantastic but I love bulky covers and just didn't have my packing list together when we planned our trip. Easy to remedy for next time. And I'm especially impressed with the wonderful service we received from Beth at Dune Allen. She was very helpful in accommodating us at such late notice. Thank you, Beth! As far as location goes…it was the BEST. Not crowded, and a few fabulous restaurants are within walking distance. We couldn't have picked a better place!
