Lucy’s Cottage Perfect Location with 5 min walk to beach, restaurants and shops

Everybody loves Lucy's Cottage! Beautiful home with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, perfect for family getaways in Seagrove Beach. This private gated community is located at 30A and Robert-Ellis Drive. A mere 400 yards from front-door to the beach with a large community pool, right in the community.

Enter the large living space with high ceilings and large 60” TV. A gourmet kitchen with granite Counter tops, fully stocked kitchen, and fridge with a ice maker. Easy access bedroom on main floor with full bath.
The primary bedroom is located on the top floor with private balcony and master bath suite with rain head shower. Snuggle up in the king bed and watch a movie or read a book on your private balcony and hear the beach. Their are 3 bedrooms with queen beds. Hang out in the back patio and have a Bbq or relax on one of the two porches. Plenty of room to hang out all together in the living room, or in small groups on the different porches and patio.
Lucy’s Cottage biggest draw is the excellent location. Grab a slice of pizza on the way down to the beach. Or walk down to the donut hole in the morning for iced coffee and bacon covered donuts- YUM. The seafood market is a quick 5 minute walk where you can fresh seafood, including fresh to order steamed shrimp! Bikes can be rented on the corner and now you can ride down to Seaside, Grayton, or The HUB. Lucy’s Cottage is right in the middle of everything that is 30A!

Our stay at Lucy's Cottage was fantastic. The place was clean, comfortable, close to the beach, restaurants, and coffee. We had the best time. Communication with Jason was easy. The only misunderstanding was about bikes - there are photos with bikes so I anticipated those being included but they were not. They were easy enough to rent but just know that the bikes aren't included. Other than that, it was great. One of my kids said they want to come back to this exact place again.

Wonderful property with a short walk to the beach. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals and the grill was nice as well. The neighborhood was quiet and made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend!

Freezer drawer was broken and you could not access the freezer. The garbage outside was full and trash stayed at the end of driveway our entire stay. Master fan did not work. AC is programmed to stay on 75 degrees, so if you turn the AC down you wake up sweating in the middle of the night. All the beds had dirty sheets with hair in them. We had to wash the sheets before sleeping in the beds. One toilet had hair all over it. The floors had never been swept or mopped. There were dried shrimp legs on the floor.Location to beach was nice.

Overall a wonderful experience! Great location and lovely home. Freezer drawer was broken and wouldn’t pull out all the way so couldn’t hardly get anything in it. Texted property manager and never heard back. Fan in master not working either. House wasnt as clean as it could’ve been.

Disappointment and frustration

The front door was unlocked and the house had not been cleaned. We spent the first evening washing linens and towels as well as buying disinfecting wipes to clean all surfaces. Cleaners arrived the next day and we continued laundry. No hot water in kitchen sink. No kitchen towels. All mattresses were very stained. We enjoyed the remaining two days. Owner did respond quickly and refunded part of our rental fee. Pool is small but clean and cool. Beach was fairly close and beautiful. This is a nice and convenient house, but we had a very disappointing start to our family vacation.

A Really Nice Week at the Beach

We had a great week in this house. It is nicely decorated. It has 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, which was perfect for our family. It has a fully stocked kitchen. The owner also left some magazines/books and even had streaming services available for use. One problem that we had was in one of the rooms, the blanket/sheets had dog hair on them. We washed them when we got there. The manager quickly responded and credited us with 75 toward the cleaning fee, which we appreciated. All of the other sheets appeared to be clean. The beach access, while very accessible, is shared with a large hotel. We found that part of the beach to be pretty busy all of the time and not always clean due to that. It was still beautiful. The shared pool was also temporarily closed, but the manager quickly worked to get it reopened, which benefitted several houses. It’s a bike ride away from Seaside.One other problem for us was the thermostat kept auto-resetting from 71 (where we set it) to 74, especially at night. I know that the owner probably wants to conserve energy, but the overhead fan also didn’t work in the master bedroom, so it got hot. We got up and reset it pretty much each night. There were no blinds on the doors. This was a problem in the master, because of the light in the morning. We hung a towel over it. One other suggestion would be to add a full length mirror somewhere.Overall, I would recommend this house. It had a lot of good features and felt comfortable. We enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Lucy’s Cottage. It was within about a 5 minute walk to the beach and spacious enough for my 8 family members including myself. I also really appreciated it being pet friendly so we could bring our frenchie! I would definitely recommend this cottage to a family with a tiny dog or even a group of friends!

My family rented the house for my husbands 60th birthday. We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home, clean and walking distant to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Location and comfortable

Jason was so nice with all of the questions that I had before arriving. The location was great to restaurants and beach. It was spring break for us so the beach was not crowded yet. However, the house and neighborhood were still secluded enough to not feel too overcrowded.

House was as listed. Well equipped!Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. House had beach towels and chairs so was very nice. Great location and access to the beach. Master bedroom balcony was well used for reading and yoga in the sunshine!The house needs some general maintenance, adjust soft close drawers, old skillets, master bathroom door handle not working and not smooth closure. Ice maker was missing. The rug and couch had stains, need replacement or cleaning. Overall good place and location. Would visit again!

Clean House and great location

This house is in an awesome location. It worked out well for my family who was staying for Thanksgiving especially because there was a bedroom and bath on the main floor so my 75 year old mom did not have to climb stairs. The size was great for our entire family. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well appointed. My only suggestion is the upgrade the cookware and pans in the kitchen. We were doing some cooking for Thanksgiving and many of the pots, pans, and skillets were very worn, some not really usable. This is an easy fix though. Otherwise, we loved our stay and would stay here again.

we where supposed to be able to check in at 4:00 pm. we arived at 5;20 pm and the cleaning people wher still there cleaning.we waited outside for about 30 minutes for them to finish. when we went in the floors wre still dirty and there was no fitting sheet on the king bed. there was also only three was cloths in the whole house. we had to go to walmart and buy some wash cloths. we did find a fitted sheet in the closet that they left unlocked.other than that everything was good we enjoyed our stay there. i think most of the problem is with the cleaning crew.

Checked the boxes

Great location, close enough to the beach you can definitely walk but we rented a golf cart which made it easier. Just note there is no parking at the beach. House was great for small family. My 8mo old slept great in the crib and it was nice that there was a highchair there for him to use as well. Restaurants / coffee shops all very close - a 10 min or less golf cart ride. The neighborhood was quiet. House was easy to check in and out of. Host was easy to reach. Beds were comfortable. Only complaint is we felt like the home could have been cleaner. Some areas had tons of dust and the floors seemed like they were not properly cleaned. Overall a great stay.

We had a great stay at Lucy’s Cottage! There were 7 adults and it was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. It was a great location to the beach and a very short walk to the pool. The pizza place at the end of the street is great! We will definitely be back!
