For a few extra euros, we upgraded to a spacious room with a balcony overlooking picturesque Walther Piazza and the city’s Duomo. The hotel also had seating on the piazza for meals, snacks, drinks, and gelato. The breakfast buffet was the fanciest and most complete breakfast that we’ve had included with our room. And the complimentary apple strudel was perfect for a mid-day snack or a late-nite bite. The weekend clerk who checked us in gave us several tips for our visit, plus complimentary drinks for my wife’s birthday. The city is car- and bike-free, which made strolling so enjoyable.
