Our stay in this high-rise unit (one of two towers) was challenging from the start.Arrival was confusing and frustrating. Communication at the security gate was nearly impossible due to an old speaker system and a tinted booth. Without a nearby grounds employee, we likely would not have gained access, as the key to the main door was inside the building.The Wi-Fi did not work as instructed, and it took two days of back-and-forth to get clear guidance from the host. We were told there was an “island-wide outage,” but once we located and reset the router ourselves, the internet came back—though it remained extremely slow. We ultimately had to drive several miles to find reliable internet for basic needs.The unit itself appears poorly constructed and maintained. Some electrical outlets were loose and pulling away from the walls. The outdoor deck was essentially unusable when the heat pump units were running, as they are mounted directly there and generate significant noise and heat. Managing a comfortable indoor temperature was also difficult, requiring constant adjustment between windows and air conditioning. Oddly, the AC remote also triggered the television, which was more amusing than functional.The space was minimally equipped. Storage was limited to a small closet with hangers, so we purchased hanging shelves just to organize clothing (and left them behind for future guests). We also had to buy basic kitchen items like a cutting board and dish towels.The kitchen layout
