"This place is AMAZING!! Their dedication to conservation is admirable and they are doing a great job. The property made it hard to leave as it had everything you need. There were hiking trails to waterfalls, great views, and opportunities to see wildlife. Additionally the room was spectacular and the onsite restaurant was one I will definitely come back for. "Our family had a wonderful stay at Koora Hotel in Monteverde. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of the cloud forest and beyond. The location is ideal—close to town and major attractions, yet peaceful and surrounded by nature. We especially loved having both the Aguti Biological Reserve and the Natuwa Wildlife Sanctuary right next door, where we enjoyed scenic trails and spotted local wildlife up close. The service was excellent, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. The breakfasts were delicious, and the bar and restaurant were a great place to relax in the evenings. Koora Hotel offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty—a great choice for families visiting Monteverde."

"Every little detail was absolutely perfect ❤️ the staff was warm, welcoming and kind. The hotel was breathtakingly beautiful. Everything was very clean. The room was much more than I expected. The photos don’t even do it justice. The food was so good, we were disappointed that we couldn’t try everything on the menu. We only stayed 3 nights and that just wasn’t enough to take it all of the perfection that is Hotel Belmar. "

"Aloha! We were kindly greeted by Esteban at the front desk. We booked a room with a mountain view and it did not disappoint. Our room was clean and comfortable. There was not a fridge in the room but the front desk will store them in the restaurant refrigerator if you would like. Though it was remotely located the place offered everything we needed including amazing food at the restaurant. We had breakfast daily, lunch and 2 dinner on 2 occasions. Our compliments to the chefs Patricia and Merlin. Jason and Alejandro provided excellent service. The hotel was within walking distance for ticket and transportation to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel offers a shuttle to town every hour, until 1:30 pm, for $2 USD each. The last shuttle from town to the hotel is at 2 pm. The hotel can call a taxi, if needed, for $12 USD one way. In town you can find a taxi in front of the church. "This lodge isn’t for everyone, but for those whom it is well suited to it offers a wonderfully immersive rainforest experience. Our room was spacious and fairly comfortable and we felt very much like we were alone in the jungle while hotel and other amenities were very readily accessible. My only caution is that those with mobility issues could find accessing some of the rooms very challenging due to steep walkways that must be climbed to reach some cabins. There are several on the same level as the lobby/reception area, so if you aren’t comfortable with a pretty tough climb on sketchy sidewalks, in the dark, be sure to specify that. If you are able and a bit more intrepid, definitely go for the “full jungle experience”! All my attached photos were taken on the lodge grounds"
