"I stayed at the Sens hotel for a business trip for a week and absolutely loved this little hotel and the location. There was a wonderful grocery market right next-door and the room had a refrigerator and microwave and other amenities in the room making my weeklong stay very nice and comfortable. The neighborhood was very nice as well. I did a lot of walking around the area and felt very safe"

"Room was very comfortable. There were small blemishes around the room and bathroom but nothing serious, just natural wear and tear. Room was still beautiful with a great view (3rd floor balcony). Check in experience was as expected and staff was nice. Staff interaction during our stay was pleasant and mostly greeted with a smile. Check out however was something less than desirable. I came in late the night before check out and asked the night auditor for a late check out the next day. He said I would have to call in the AM. Not ideal but fine. Was woken up at 11:30a by a knock on the door by housekeeping (isn't check out 12noon?). I called the front desk and asked for a late check out and I was immediately told no, then told there was a charge for a late check out, but only then did he ask me what time I needed. The late check out cost is $40, so not breaking the bank but what time does that get me until? They gave us until 12:30, with no charge but I left the hotel feeling rushed and annoyed. I was in hospitality for 15 years so I give a lot of grace but this clerk has been in it too long and has forgotten how to put themselves in place of the guest."

"If I can give this hotel 100 stars I would. Hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Fantastic location (with an amazing Lake view). The breakfast in this hotel is next level. The staff are super helpful and the rooms are extremely clean and tidy. My family loved it and we will always stay here when visiting San Francisco."
