Summary:
Just steps to the sand! Take our boogie boards and beach equipment out for the day and come home to relax in this cozy 1-bedroom or go out to the nearby restaurants in Pacific Beach. This unit is laid out to comfortably sleep 4 in two beds. It has a separate dining area and a full kitchen, so you always have the option of dining in or experiencing the vast array of PB restaurants and bars.

The Space:
This is a second floor unit. Enter into an open L living room with a dining nook off the updated kitchen. Updated plank flooring and tile in the kitchen and bathrooms which is ideal for the beach. Smart TV to meet all your needs. Kitchen is fully appointed (gas stove, oven, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and all the things to use them). Updated step in shower with lots of natural light in the bathroom. Sleeper in the living room converts into an over-sized full bed. Luxurious queen in the bedroom....wake up to the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean literally 100 steps from your door!

Guest Access:
The whole unit is yours. This unit is part of a small and quiet 6-plex. Check-in is contactless. You will be given a door code 3 days prior to arrival.

The Neighborhood:
Within walking distance of all Mission Beach has to offer, this charming unit is both centrally and conveniently located, yet offers the quiet comfort most look for in a vacation getaway. Best part of this location in north Mission is that you are a quick jaunt to all the nightlife, cafes and restaurants of Pacific Beach but you get to come home to the quiet of north Mission Beach.

Getting Around:
We provide a single covered parking space. It is accessed off the alley and as such can be a tight fit (as with about 90% of the parking spaces at the beach). We recommend a small- to mid-sized car to make it easier to park. We also recommend backing into the spot as that makes it easier to get in and pull out. There is free street parking available, but due to the high volume of beach-goers, don't count on parking nearby. Also be sure to read parking signs!

Other Things to Note:
This is "typical" beach parking so we do not recommend large cars. The spots will not accommodate anything more than a mid-size car or SUV.

For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.

We only offer the air conditioning between May and September

The stay was fantastic! The beach was less than 100 steps away! Be warned we have a 4 Runner and it wouldn't come close to fitting in the parking spot. Street parking in December was decent. Only tiny complaint is that the pull out couch's mattress should be replaced with something thicker.

Loved the location!!

Location was great-one block from the beach. Quiet street, yet within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Apartment was small and cozy - perfect for two people. Furniture was a bit dated but the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. Would stay there again.

Comfortable and perfectly located condo for a small family. Very attentive manager and exceptionally clean upon arrival, equipped with everything you need. Parking is tricky so smaller cars only but highly recommend!

Location is perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property on Mission Beach. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a long weekend getaway with my spouse. The location is perfectly situated between the Pacific Beach businesses and the Mission Beach businesses. We parked our car when we arrived and didn’t get back in until we were ready to leave. We look forward to visiting again.

Great place and location

We had some issues at a hotel/resort we were staying at and have stayed at foe years. We found the house on the VRBO website and checked out of the hotel and stayed 4 days at the rental. We had a great time and really enjoyed the place. We will definently be back again.

Great little condo close to the beach

This unit was very comfortable and clean. The master bedroom got warm at night so a fan would have been nice. The property manager responded very quickly and o messages. It is very close to the beach.

Just what we needed!

Our stay was perfect. The studio was bright, airy, clean and spacious. The four of us appreciated the convenience of walking to the beach and bay at will. Grocery stores and restaurants were abundant. Most of our meals were cooked/grilled on site. This made for a relaxing evening after a fun filled day, kayaking, bike riding, and sailboarding. What a wonderful week of vacation!

Nice place at the beach

We enjoyed staying here. We chose it initially based on the location to the beach and boardwalk. This is great for watching sunsets and for evening strolls along the ocean. Good restaurants within walking distance. The property itself was comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen, living room area, and smart tv. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was nice. Since you do reuse towels, it would have been better to have more towel bars in the bathroom for better air drying. Also you have to open the bathroom window if you are going to get any airflow or decrease humidity. There is a portable fan in the closet which was great because we used it for white noise. It is very easy to hear the neighbors underneath you or beside you, but the fan helped with this. We did have an issue with our furnace, but the owner replaced the thermostat quickly. Owner was also quick with communication. Parking space is tight in assigned spot, even with a Fiat we had to maneuver it just right. Overall though it was a property that grew on us through the trip, and we enjoyed our stay here.

Needed more air

This stay was fine, except for the air situation. The airconditioning is a portable unit, tucked into a corner of the main room. It was insufficient to cool the main living space and did absolutely nothing for the bedroom. Since the bedroom pictures showed corner windows, I thought there would at least be a breeze at night, but it was dead air. I bought a fan on my first day just to make it through the nights (left it behind). Even with the fan, the nights were hot, humid and uncomfortable. The location is great though, so as long as the weather is cool or you're a partier and don't plan on sleeping much, it should be fine.

Mission Beach getaway

This rental is clean and walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The living area faces the west, so it gets warm. Shower is larger than shown in the pictures. Mirrors in bathroom are not great for women trying to do their hair or makeup. Fan in the living room turns on and off on its own. Pull out sofa was comfortable... just a little loud for kids that toss & turn all night. Parking spot is tight... bring a car that'll fit. Smaller SUVs will fit via a 6 to 10 point turn. Just be patient. Rental has beach gear to borrow: wake boards, towels, chairs. There are 2 units upstairs... this would be great for a double family vacation. The family renting next to us were nice and had kids the same age as ours. Overall, I would rent this place again.

Very nice place

Pretty clean and comfy. Parking a little tough with the small parking slot, but doable with the right size vehicle. Won’t get a full size pickup in there, so bear that in mind. WiFi works good, no issues. Could have used a dishwasher, but paper plates make that easier.
