"I really loved the Red Lion, the whole place is truly well kept, the furniture and the decorations including the lovely framed prints are all amazing and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy. My room was very clean and reasonably spacious. I could not recommend the Red Lion more watmly. Very happy customer. Many thanks to the corteous staff too!"

"A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. Only downside was the building works and workmen outside our window, a little unsightly and workmen very unexpected. Everything else perfect.
