Stayed here on our trip to Salem to ride some mountain bike trails, it was perfect for my group, great location near trails and very private, thanks again!
Wonderful cabin, so new and clean. Ideal location for hiking Triple Crown and others. 15 minutes to breweries, restaurants etc.
Quiet location. Fire pit was great addition. Highly recommend this property!
We absolutely loved this private little home nestled in the beautiful mountains of Appalachia (but only 15 minutes to everything). Thank you for supplying Smores for the fire pit! There was a little bird nesting in the front door wreath and it was sooooo quiet outside at night. We really enjoyed ourselves!
This was a great, up to date house. It was less than 10 minutes from Roanoke College and Salem. The neighbors are visible during the day but not close. Very quiet.
We had such a nice time! Everything we needed was right there. The cabin was super clean. The setting was perfect and so close to Salem. We enjoyed the firepit until we had a special visitor (a black bear)! Ha! Overall a great experience.
The Cottage was perfect for our stay! It was very clean and nicely updated. The kitchen was well stocked. We missed out on using the fire pit due to it raining during our visit. It was very thoughtful to leave a supply for s’mores. I loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the covered porch. We saw deer every day! We even befriended the dog across the street who followed us home. Great place to stay.

Nice cottage but…
Lovely renovation close to great hiking makes this a good option. Unfortunately the floors were really dirty, and the smell of cigarette smoke took away the charm.
Ginnie was very responsive once I made her aware of the issues, but if you have any sensitivity to smoke smell I it’s a significant problem.
Beautifully updated home with modern amenities, very nicely decorated and well stocked.
The property was beautiful with an amazing back patio and fire pit (although we didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit) it is something we will use next time. Very nicely decorated with new clean furnishings and the s’mores were a nice touch. This is a bit off the beaten path at first but then you get to enjoy the beauty of the birds singing in the mornings. There is also an amazing breakfast place just in town of Salem called Salem diner that serves amazing breakfast, recommend the eggs and biscuits with gravy. I’ve eaten at a lot of places in all my travels and probably the best biscuits and gravy I can remember. We enjoyed our stay and will book again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Extremely clean, perfect location, Loved the fire pit! We ate at the new place 3miles down the road called Hanging Rock Tavern, highly suggest them! And hiked McAfee Knob, which every single step was worth the view at the top. Would absolutely stay again
