"The location was very quiet and felt safe yet close to all attractions. We especially enjoyed the restaurant and bar which were located on the property and the friendliness of the staff. Didn't have to go out looking for a breakast bar. Food was there. I just loved our whole trip and stay at the Wyndham Gardens in Galena, Illinois. "

"The Julien is simply a lovely hotel. We spent 2 days there for a wedding celebration. The hotel was also hosting another wedding and several other special events, but you never would have realized it. Outstanding hotel staff and Caroline's restaurant offers great service and food. We will stay there again when we're in the Dubuque area."

"This hotel is in a historical area, near the river, and the main transportation routes. There were areas outside and inside undergoing renovation, and the interior was wonderfully comfortable. The parking was limited to street and a city garage a couple blocks' walk, but the validation was a breeze. I was very pleased with the bedroom, and I find the housekeeping and front desk services to always be warm and assuring. I skipped any dining. If you're looking for an urban setting near the water, not too loud but not boring, this is it. There is construction here and there, but there was a lot of cafe and dining options available nearby at a seemingly broad price range. I look forward to returning when my itinerary spells IA."

"We arrived late (2:30am) and they aloud us an hour later checkout which was amazing. The hotel lobby was very home feeling, entire hotel was clean with very respectful and accommodating staff members. For being from Ohio and booking this hotel without knowing the area they provided a great stay for us! "
