"Mr & Mrs Grasso were really nice but Mr Grasso did not respond to any emails until 2 days before we got there. He does not speak English but we could have sent a message in French. The pool was not heated but was not an issue but the pool does need a good clean especially round the steps. Internally the house was exceptionally well fitted with what looks like some particularly expensive items but was quirky, e.g. one bedroom door would not shut, toilet door would not fully open glass windows...

"This was a very short notice booking and the owners were very helpful to sort this out. Another location had fallen through for us and we all had leave booked. Our children also had flights booked (Geneva) so at short notice (3-4 days) we needed a house for 6 people. The owners did their best to help us out and we appreciate that. "The location is a quiet residential area, within easy walking distance of Doussard 'beach' and within easy driving distance of Annecy itself. The lakeside cycle path runs 100m from it. There are great views of the lake and mountains, and a constant spectacle of paragliders taking off from the mountain opposite. The house has lots of space and is well-furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is of a good size for cooking for a large-ish group, and had pretty much everything we needed. Everything...

"There were a number of problems with the house. It is in a very noisy location on the corner of a car rat-run used all day and evening by cars, buzzing mopeds and vans which are always in your ears and wake you up at 7am and are using it late at night. Some of our guests did not sleep well all week which is not good for a holiday. There is also a street light which shines into one of the bedrooms all night. Some of the mattresses are old, hard and very uncomfortable. It was just ok for 6 but not...
