"Very nice hotel, central to the Messe and Ruttenschied which in Essen is very important. It was clean, comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be challenging in the area, but the hotel has its own parking as well. This is the first time I have stayed but will be looking to it as my first choice from now on as I need to visit the city."

"Check in was terrible. I wandered around in the rain for a while before finding the reception area. Our key was there with a note, but because the note was in German I didn't use Google translate on it till we found our room. Turns out the note could have saved us from wandering through different buildings looking for our room. Now that we're settled, the room is adequate. It is clean and well maintained. "A short walk from Essen train station, the hotel is reasonable for the price. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with good heating and air-conditioning unit, a kettle with tea and coffee, a complimentary bottle of water. My room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel so it was nice and peaceful, facing away from the busy road. The room wasn't spotless, but it was clean enough.
