"There was trash all over the property, my room didn't get cleaned until I said something to the front desk and that was the days after I arrived. The staff basically ignored my calls to the front desk no answer. The hall room 124 i was in smelled like weed. The whole hallway was smelling like weed. The breakfast was good. That was about it."

"The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on the bathroom walls. Regardless, we'll be back, "

"Honestly Shay is the only reason this review will have anything good in it . I came to the hotel with my 13 year old & one year old and my 4 year old son for one night . This hotel does not accommodate or care for people who have children . My son got sleep deprived around 9/9:45 and started doing kid things (yes ik it’s annoying besides the point) we don’t get a warning nothing next thing you know there is 5 KCKPD officers outside on my hotel room screaming my name absolutely scaring all of my children over my son walking to loudly across the floor , bc the tv sounds like it’s at 50 on 15 not once did this man try to call my cellphone (I was out of the room grabbing food for everyone) not once did he bother to try to call me just straight to the police I was then harassed the remainder of his shift accusing me and my kids of any and every little sound . Now Shay . Shay was amazing she let it be known she understood about the kids being kids and she was sorry that happened to me & so on so forth was the only person who told me about the honors app how to work it breakfast all the good stuff she is the best staff member yaw have & I’d honestly consider hiring new front people if the ones u do have ain’t gon do better . I will never come to this hotel again."

"Perfect location with easy access around the area! Only complaint I would have is parking. Private spot but the public driveway/parking area the road is really broken up. Nothing again this amazing stay. Would definitely stay again. "

"We had such a wonderful stay. They thought of every detail you could possibly want to make your stay relaxing and fun. Write down to the wonderful throws, books, and games. It was clean and comfortable. The bed were quite comfortable and view from the rooftop was great. I would definitely love staying here again. "

"If you are interested in a luxury hotel, there are better choices. This place is overrun with children, people laying on the floor of the lobby, people in sweats and pajamas hanging out in the bar. It is a newer hotel than some of the beautiful hotels on the plaza, but I will from now on choose to return to the plaza. Valet parking was never an option. Doormen were inattentive and not helpful. Front desk slow and not responsive to concerns. We did have a lovely dinner at 1587 and I hope it will soon find a new location for the restaurant. "

"Two rooms on the first floor had such a strong overwhelming chlorine/bleach smell that neither us nor our friends could stay longer than a few moments. The folks at the front desk were very helpful and polite and moved us immediately. We then got a second story room and a fourth story room and the smell was fine. It looks like they tried to remodel the property and on the surface it looks pretty good. The lobby looks nice. When you start to look closer at the rooms they are not in great shape. The trim around the base of the sink wasn't even attached. The mini fridge made a lot of noise all night long. The bed was fine enough and clean. They do have secured uncovered parking. We picked this hotel because the price was more reasonable than other properties and was available for the date we needed. For one night it was ok but those property is not on our list to return to. "
