"Enjoyed our stay. Only thing that was NOT OK, was we found a used adult toy behind the nightstand. And telling from the dust on it and behind nightstand housekeeping doesn’t do a very thorough cleaning. Other than that everything was good. I’d say 8/10"

Rockport Inn And Suites

"Nice little hotel/inn. Farther to town than described, which was a bit inconvenient due to the rainy weather. Otherwise, beds were comfy, all was clean. Small bathroom for two people, but functional. Very nice and accommodating staff. Recommend."

The Hotel Salem

"If you want to stay in the heart of the attractions, this is the place to be. Room was very clean. However, one thing to keep in mind if you stay at this hotel, is that there is basically no amenities. They do have a filtered water system that is located on each floor which was good to fill water bottles before heading out. They do have a restaurant on the roof but we chose to eat at local establishments. There is no onsite parking but there is parking close enough at the train station ($5.00 per day as of time of this review) that you can walk to the hotel in like five minutes. There is another one closer but was a little more expensive at $1.50 per peak hours. We chose the train station since we did not need the car during our three day stay. The hotel is very close to most places that you are coming to Salem for. If I visit Salem again, I would definitely try to book at The Salem Hotel. One thing to keep in mind is that if you go during peak season, the price will be very high, assuming there is room availability."

"Clean room great staff no “official” ocean view but you could easily see the ocean from the room despite what the website says. Parking nearby staff super friendly love and appreciate ms Michelle no noise from other rooms and the showers were hot hot hot"

"The place was cozy and clean the staff was kind and helpful, the pool and sand area were great my son had lots of fun"

The Northshore Hotel - Boston/Danvers

"Overall our stay was good. Property is a bit hard to find, hidden down behind other businesses and lots. Our room could definitely have been cleaner. There was hair on the toilet and in the shower drain. The handle in the shower is broken so when rotated towards the hot water, it falls all the way to the hottest setting. I had to rig it with a washcloth so as to not get too hot. Walls are a bit thin so easy to hear other guests. Continental Breakfast was good and as expected except there were no tea bags. Only coffee. Staff was always pleasant and helpful. Overall was a decent stay but could’ve been cleaner with amenities that aren’t broken."

Surf House

"This is a surprisingly good motel only a short walk from the Club Casino and steps from many bars and restaurants. The modern property is clearly the result of a recent, high-quality renovation. We chose a queen room at a special rate requiring off-site parking, but the walk was incredibly short and easy. While the room was small, it wasn’t terribly so, and it was spotless. It had everything we needed, including a small refrigerator with freezer, a coffee maker, and a small microwave. The bathroom was nice, the shower was hot, and everything worked perfectly. There is a cute cantina across the street offering budget cocktails and beer. The weather wasn’t great, so we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but it looked well-maintained. We live only ten miles away, but this was a well-worth-it splurge to get a room close to home after a show at the Club Casino. We’d absolutely stay at the Surf House again—it truly felt like we were on vacation."

"We stayed for one night. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were great and very responsive. Convenient location close to the highway and a mall. Lots of restaurants near by."

"This is a beautiful, nice and quiet place, and I been there for many times; but the staff is not the same all time. Sometimes they have people that really care, sometimes do not."
