"Charming county home that is clean and had everything we needed for a 3-night stay. Hubby caught a nice bass in the pond and a few crappie and bluegill - caught and released of course! Peaceful homey country setting!"

"This was a great property in which to stay at. First, the hosts were phenomenal and if we were going to arrive after dark, they were going to leave the light on for us. There are no negatives about this property. Location excellent within distance to St Louis and Chain of Rocks bridge. It was so clean, quiet and relaxing. We had the best nights sleep of our trip. They go above and beyond making this place great and comfortable for their guests. If you forgot anything, they are supplying it from snacks, toiletries and beyond. This place deserves 6 stars. It is pristine. If we have another trip in this area, we will be coming back. Thank you for all the considerations you give your guests."

"Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back."

"The house was just as described. It was the perfect peaceful little getaway. We enjoyed ping pong and foosball in the hangout, fishing on the lake and just the quietness of the front porch. It’s close to town but far enough to have have the city noise. Great place!"

"The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended."
