"This hotel is the perfect serene escape from the bustle of Kyoto city. The staff are incredible, all spoke English and were so helpful and really made us feel welcomed and cared for the whole time. The included drinks are delightful and we were able to sample the full tea selection as well as several alcoholic beverages even during our dinner- which I would also highly recommend booking!"

"The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that. House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead."

"We loved the free drinks and snacks in the evening. The breakfast is healthy and locally-sourced. The Shirakawa River beside the hotel is pretty. The soba and sushi restaurants beside the hotel are excellent. It’s close to Meiji jingu and a Tsutaya bookstore which feels peaceful."
