So this was an interesting weekend. It might have involved the Coast Guard, a helicopter, and needing to be rescued, but that was the day before this was taken.

To try to salvage what was left of this trip, I had heard of a cypress swamp near Savannah. We ended up kayaking around this beautiful swamp and looking up at these mammoth trees with their roots totally exposed. The entire trip is about 8 miles, but where this was taken is a nice small paddle if you are interested.

"Poor water flow upstairs, downstairs toilet wasn’t working great. washing machine leaked (think the seal is worn on it) and filters for ac where not the greatest for air flow (my husband changed the one upstairs) and garbage around outside smelled really bad, but with the heat I know that doesn’t help. Overall we had a great experience and we would stay there again. "

"Cute place, advertised as is. The manager is very responsive and helpful. Needed to be swept, but otherwise clean and well stocked in the bathroom and kitchen. It's a long walk to downtown, through some areas I wouldn't care to walk, so we drove and parked in the historic area. We were a group of ladies and I would've felt safer if my husband was with us. No one bothered us, though."

"The hotel is located on the waterfront in downtown Savannah. The in house restaurant is good and convenient. I attended a conference there. Meeting rooms are ample for a conference of 400. Receptions were well run. It was easy to stroll around the historic area and shopping district. Transportation in the area is quick and readily available. Overall a great experience. "

"This was my first time to Savannah. The hotel was beautiful. All staff encountered were super friendly and professional. The bar and restaurants were excellent. I would definitely stay here again. The only downside is it’s a 15-20 minute walk down to the river, which wasn’t terrible!"
