"Our stay at Maison Emeraude was without a doubt, one of our best stays of our entire 10 day trip to Portugal. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering advice about our itineraries for each day, and made the most delicious breakfast and dinner! It was peaceful, relaxing, and charming. "A little oasis on an island that is already so beautiful on itself. Via a lush garden with all the flowers you could possibly spot on the island, we arrived in our home for a week. "The hotel is exceptional and the area where it is located is breathtaking. While you have to pay in order to use the geothermal pools anywhere else on the island, there are geothermal pools right here in the hotel for your use anytime of the day or night! The hotel leaves little treats and trinkets in your room for you throughout most of your stay, there are incredible tasting teas with cookies in the lobby area, and breakfast was divine! We highly recommend this hotel!"

"Breakfast offerings were excellent but the staff doesn’t clear dirty dishes for the most part. They wait til you leave to clear the dishes. Bed & sheets are comfortable. Garden is a nice walk. Pool & jacuzzis are best used outside of the public hours. Parking lot for overflow is gravel & shoes get dirty if it rained. Not sure why the hotel doesn’t spend the $ to pave it. "The property was beautiful. Just off a Main Street but completely private and very quiet. The pods were large and comfortable with beautiful views of the grounds. Breakfast was excellent with lots of delicious options. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Bikes and helmets are available for guest use, very nice! The staff was SO kind and helpful. I absolutely loved this place"
