- Located on one of Southwold’s premier residential streets, this superior five-bedroomed home features all the holiday must-haves – with flexible accommodation, it’s dog-friendly and has a fabulous games room and a large garden.
This detached property is impressive from the outset. Located on desirable Pier Avenue, it has driveway parking so you can unpack and forget about the cars until going-home time. Inside, there’s a contemporary coastal vibe and comfortable social spaces, starting in the large sitting room where there’s a choice of seating, home-style entertainment and bi-fold doors leading to the garden. There’s plenty of space to share mealtime chores in the contemporary kitchen/dining area, which features a range-style electric cooker with an eight-ring gas hob and a dining suite with elbow room for everyone; a separate utility room provides more home-from-home essentials. Those with energy to burn can escape to the games room where a table football challenge awaits. Leading from here is a calming double bedroom with French doors onto a private area of the garden. A traditional family bathroom completes the ground-floor layout, with additional facilities offered by a shower room on the first floor. Wander along the prom and you can reach the town centre in minutes – if you don’t make too many refreshment stops! – or step out around a mile further and you’ll reach the busy harbour, a favourite spot for crabbing competitions and fresh fish shopping. Across the River Blyth, Walberswick is a quieter village with a number of celebrity residents and another lovely beach – the foot ferry will transport you there in minutes.
