"Very quiet country like Villas, secluded, secured parking. The rooms have bunk beds which increases the bed count with larger rooms that fit up to 7. The hotel is near the animal refuge and some great local restaurants, if you are driving."
"Armando was very friendly and helpful, and made a nice breakfast in the morning! The area is a lush green forest so it really lives up to its name "Serenity by Nature"!"
"Absolutely perfect little gem…we stayed the night before our international flight back home, and it was so convenient! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!"

COZY HOUSE IN LA GARITA. NEAR THE AIRPORT, RURAL AREA, POOL, PRIVACY & SERENITY
10/10 Excellent
"The place was beautiful and close to everything. There is a mini mart just around the corner and 20ish minutes to Walmart. There was all sorts of birds and wild life to watch out of the tall living room windows"
"The blinds were so thin you can see inside the rooms. The door had no locks from the inside. Ants were always everywhere even at dinner time. Only one sweet lady who did an amazing job running the entire place and it seemed like I was the only one there at the time. This spa is not a good place too stay. Not even an iron or air conditioner was in the rooms at all either and list goes on. Stay away!"
"We only spent one night here and arrived very late, yet the owner was patiently waiting for us. They make you a fresh breakfast. It's very affordable and very close to the airport. They don’t offer transportation, but that didn’t affect us since we rented a car. 100% recommended.""
"I plan on returning. The hotel is nestled in the heart of San Jose, it's a huge property. I chose it for the decor/culture of Costa Rica. I swam in a pristine Olympic sized pool, I saw several iguanas, and I don't know how many bird species and in the ceiling of my room, what I thought was a mouse, was actually a bird nest with new hatchlings, which was a bit disturbing when I was sleeping. I was offered another room, it wasn't as nice, so I declined. Understanding Costa Rica embraces nature and tries not to disturb the natural habitats so they didn't remove the bird family. I adapted, it wasn't too bad. I will say bring/use insect repellent. There are few screens on any windows (in Costa Rica), which is the norm. Each day there were many insects dead in my room, I used spray to avoid bites. They conserve energy so the main building is open, no a/c just fresh air and fans. The building is open, anything may fly or crawl through the lobby or your room if you have your patio door open.
The staff was beautiful, professional and so kind.
The deep tissue massage was deep.
The food was delicious and not expensive. Not sure if free refills were free, one said no, the others gave them to me. Caesar salad, calamari and a entree with ginger ale was $33.67. If you want to be as close to being a local, I suggest the location. Feels like the ambulance just made me want to sit and enjoy each moment. Bring washclothes they only give towels and hand towels. Older charming resort."

"Sweet atmosphere, design is authentic to the local area, beautiful gardens, nice staff, good food, free breakfast includes eggs, rice and beans, fruit, juices, good value, especially if you have children and need a suite. "
"Condo sleeps 8 with enough towels, but is pretty small for that many people for long. It's inside a gated community for security. Was perfect for our one night stay after arriving in country and headed on a long drive the next day. There are some small restaurants and shops up the road a bit. "
