"This was the best way to end our vacation. A beautiful room, amazing staff who went out of their way to meet your needs, and the breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. "

"We were disappointed with our stay. The road to the hotel was closed due to a cycling event, and although we had been in contact with the hotel a few days earlier, we were never informed. When we tried to reach them, no one answered by phone, email, website, or chat. After several hours they finally called back and told us the road would open at 16:30, which was incorrect — it didn’t open until 18:00. The reception staff were unable to make any decisions and had no authority to offer any form of compensation. They told us to contact management after our stay. We tried to file a complaint, but the only offer was a discount on a future visit, which is not useful since we don’t live nearby. After that, they stopped responding. Their justification for not offering compensation was simply that we “got a place to sleep,” even though we spent the entire day trying to figure out how to reach the hotel without any help from them. We could have found a place to sleep for far less than 1000 USD per night. The location is beautiful but very remote, and there is some noticeable wear and tear. Photos speak for themselves."

"Beautiful view of False Bay with beach access directly across the street. Easy to walk to Kalk Bay or Muizenberg for restaurants, bars, and shopping. Friendly staff. Free street parking in front of the hotel."

"Nova Constantia: The room was comfortable and well presented; however, the overall property feels somewhat overrated compared to the outstanding reviews it often receives. Breakfast was disappointing—the salmon was overcooked and the sauce served with the eggs royale was not well executed. Overall, I would not consider this a true 5-star experience; it is suitable for a one-night stay."

"Handy alternative if in southern suburbs. Mix of long term residents and short term rentals. On site Café had good offering. Safe, good value for money. "

"Lime cottage is very comfortable and as shown in photos. Good location and nice neighborhood. Reason for giving 3* review is because host put us in Lavender cottage without an explanation and after we pointed out photos didn't match the unit. Lavender looks more like student accomodation. Only after contacting Vrbo, they were able to resolve the situation and we were moved to Lime cottage for the rest of our stay. "
