I absolutely loved my stay at the Nethleigh. I stayed in the room called The Snug, and it admirably lived up to the name. It was comfortable and very cozy. There was a small fireplace in the room with wood provided for a crackling fire, though I didn't make one. The owner had provided fresh milk in the fridge for my hot drinks, as well as a variety of teas and coffees. Great location in the heart of the town. Parking in the Royal Lions own car park can be a little tight but a space was always available. Our room was spotless and well stocked with tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was good, plant based options on offer. Staff were helpful and friendly. At times it seemed like the hotel were short of personnel. Overall a great stay would definitely return.

Great option if staying in Devon. A quiet town with lovely locals and beautiful sights. The rooms were exactly as pictured. The staff were really nice with any needs we had. Megan in particular was amazing help each day. In the future I think each room could do with some sort of small mini fridge.

Ample parking. Friendly helpful staff. Huge English breakfast included. Bar and restaurant on site...lively place on a Friday night in a good way. Room was very good, but no in-room fridge.

Be aware bus service to Colyton can be non existant

A very nice small hotel full of character and in a beautiful setting and convenient to lyme regis. See and countryside views from the room. Lovely gardens. Friendly owners and staff went out of their way to make sure we had eventing we needed... the owners checked in with us at breakfast each morning. The 3 course table service breakfast was selectable from a menu. Classy but not pretentious.

The Hornsbury Mill is a very charming hotel, set in beautiful grounds with a little lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the bed comfortable. I had the full English (vegan) breakfast and it was very tasty. The one complaint I had was that when the very charming old mill wheel is on and turning (which they switch off at 8pm), the noise made a constant thud in my room and bothered me a little. I assume it won’t be too much of a bother though to most people, who would be in bed well...

Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜

Amazing staff, and the best cooked to order breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Lots of attention to detail here which is becoming increasingly hard to find. We absolutely loved this place.
