Our family cabin is located in the small historic town of Raymond, CA, in the heart of the Sierra foothills, 39.2 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park. This new cabin features modern conveniences with a rustic feel. Experience breathtaking views, beautiful sunsets, hiking, a seasonal creek, an abundance of wildlife, and incredible rock formations to explore. If you are looking for tranquility, this is it!
Our modern 1280 sq. ft. cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open loft, a large deck, a fire pit, a fully supplied kitchen, laundry, and an open living room and dining room area. We have central air conditioning and heating, but also a fireplace for cozy ambiance. There are three queen beds and two floor sleeping mats to accommodate up to eight guests. High speed Internet is, of course, the icing on the cake.
Raymond hasn't changed much in over 100 years. Although fires have taken many of its historical buildings over the decades, the town still maintains a General Store with a restaurant and bar from the 1890's and an old saloon nearby called the Hills Pride Inn. Also nearby are fantastic museums, wineries, breweries, trail heads, parks, and lakes. Giant Sequoias are within an hour's drive. San Francisco, Sacramento, and NAPA Valley are about 2 1/2 hours away.
Our base rate includes up to four guests. We charge $25 for each additional guest per night. The total number of guests must be disclosed at time of booking. Up to two dogs are permitted for a $100 pet fee.
Travel to Yosemite National Park:
Although we are relatively close to the southern entrance, the park is massive and winding roads and slow traffic increase travel time substantially. Give yourself at least an hour to reach the entrance from our cabin and additional time to reach popular locations within the park. The Mariposa Grove (giant sequoias) is near the southern entrance. Also, Yosemite National Park does require reservations during most of the summer during certain hours, so be sure to visit their website for particulars.
Kids should be supervised at all times, especially during the rainy season, as there is a seasonal creek and ponds located nearby. There are also rock formations and small caves on the property which can be occupied by wildlife.
We have more detailed information about things to do in and around Raymond, as well as its history on our website (provided after booking).
Please review our House Rules prior to booking and let us know if you have any questions. Cheers!
