"Staff were very friendly and beds were really comfortable, however, the hotel does appear to be in a period of transition. At the time of our visit the lift wasn't working, and there was no food available in the hotel. On a minor point the TV in the room couln't pick up a signal , maybe due to it's position right by the Wrekin. At first glance the hotel does appear to be in an isolated spot, but it is less than 30 minutes drive to all the attractions of the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire Hills and Shrewesbury. Telford is about 15 minutes away, and there are a good choice of restaurants there. All in all I would be happy to stay there again."

"Lovely clean room, it had a welcome fridge with a bottle of orange juice two bottles of water and a carton of milk. Breakfast consisted of cereal or oats, an apple a pastry and some nuts. Parking was free. Even though I overlooked the main road the traffic didn't keep me awake. Unfortunately there was a wake their so I walked 10 mins up the road to eat, so I can't tell you about the food. But I would stay again."

"Lovely quaint little hotel,each room is so different our room looked over a lovely olde graveyard and beautiful church,beds are so comfortable,we had such a smashing time here. Would definitely recommend 👌"

"A charming historic building converted into a tasteful quirky hotel. There is no lift but lots of stairs going up and down and even to nowhere. It’s close to the English Bridge on a busy road convenient for the town and amenities."

"Great hotel in a great location. The staff were all wonderful, polite and helpful. My only grumble is that the beds and pillows were rock hard, so sleeping was an issue. But apart from that, it's a great hotel which I would recommend. (If you like a softer bed, make sure to take a memory foam mattress topper and your own pillow)."
