"We were impressed with the character and cleanliness. We have been in old B&Bs which were decrepit. This one is beautifully clean and the breakfast was excellent. But when we arrived after dark, we asked where to eat and were not given directions. East then North in the direction of Byward Market is a mass of unfortunate humanity that did not make us feel safe. Also, parking in front was not available on the second night, but no one told us we could part at the rear of the building."
