"Hotel is dated and could use some sprucing up. Room was very clean, beds and pillows comfortable and hot water adequate. Breakfast was decent, typical free buffet. I would stay here again."

"Hello I wanted to leave this review because I have never felt so welcome and appreciated as I did during my stay. I met up with my sister and her daughter to check out Iowa university and picked this hotel because it ticked borax of #hot tub, then pool and then breakfast. We ended up not using the breakfast because my sister is gluten free and dairy sensitive and has a nut allergy and she didn’t want to just eat eggs. I found the first morning breakfast delish and love having a fresh waffle (I don’t eat these often) but the coffee was perfect! We did choose not to have room service but have towels swapped out because 3 ladies in a room is just too much! The parking felt safe and well lit during the night. The pancake place next door is open in the mornings. I had dinner at the Mexican restaurant up the street-again delish! The staff here were so helpful and the pool and hot tub were spot on what we needed after a long day that this will be the place I choose when visiting my niece as she continues her schooling. If you have never been to Ames- go! It’s probably one of the nicest places I have visited because the people are so genuinely nice! "

"Was surprised that they offered a very limited breakfast selection. Only packaged muffins, bagels fruit, yogurt and instant oatmeal. Besides that, the stay was very comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful."

As class of 1984 ISU alumni, it was a very special time to reconnect with Iowa State. We will recommend to all our friends traveling through Iowa!"
