"The grounds and the winery were beautiful and charming. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The room itself was however a huge disappointment. You are greeted with a strong, stale odor. For the price we were being charged everything in the room seemed old and depressing dating back to 80’s and 90’s. "Loved staying here. Our kids loved swimming and spending time at the pool. It’s not overly crowded around the pool which is a positive. Location is convenient to Calistoga downtown area. The only con is I felt our room wasn’t super clean upon checking in. The floor seemed dusty. I also think some of the furniture and walls are showing some minor wear. This property doesn’t have double sinks, which can be a challenge with a family. Otherwise great hotel and I would stay here again."
