" Avoid Vita Portucale and this house !!!!! Our stay for 1 week was a disaster. We didn’t receive the correct address, and no one was there to greet us. The house was dirty, poorly equipped, and had multiple issues: a filthy pool, leaking faucet, unusable washing machine, ant-infested mattresses and dirty, and low water pressure, toilet was blocked for all the week. The agency was unresponsive and demanded payment despite the chaos. This was the worst vacation experience ever. Vita Portucal...

"First, Costa da Caparica is a paradise. This house was so perfect for the 6 of us (it sleeps 8, but I would not do more than 6). We had space and managed the 1 bathroom for all of us perfectly. The location is on a non-car street so it made the privacy so lovely. We could walk to the beach in 6 ish minutes and to so many amazing restaurants in less than 5 minutes. "We booked this because I wanted to be near the sea = we were actually high up on a rocky promontory but that was fine, view was great and we were not in the midst of loads of people. One issue is parking - we had no trouble but I can see during busy times that there may be. But there seems to be enough, just need to be creative. The house was clean and has everything - no AC but with the sea air, probably no need,. It does take time to get used to the European way of heating water for showers...

There was no communication from the host apart from check-in info which was instigated by me, even when he said he would be in touch. The accommodation was basic, but had everything we needed. Aircon was a big plus. However, the place lacked any comfort . One pillow per person, no cushions on the sofa (which was peeling and leaving a mess) and no where comfortable to sit outdoors...
