"The hotel was nice, everything was clean and in good shape, however after arriving at 7pm and hoping for an early night we were met with an extremely loud FUN FAIR parked RIGHT in front of the hotel with no prior warning from reception. We were assured it would be shut down by 10pm and it was, however, they then spent 2 hours breaking the whole thing down and were banging and clanging until midnight. Then the street sweepers arrived bright and early around 6am to clean up after them. Not a very restful night."

"It’s a lovely 4 star hotel, but my room felt 3 star. It was comfortable, but a little tired. I was travelling solo and paid extra for a double room. It seems solo travellers are often slightly sidelined, and in this case my room was cosy but tucked out of the way next to the housekeeping store. This meant that a lie-in wasn’t really possible as staff arrived for work next door at 6am so there were doors closing and creaky floorboards outside until around 8am. Fortunately, I was out early myself most days, but this might be worth bearing in mind. My room was a little dusty and the curtains were fixed in place. I had to ask for them to be adjusted as they wouldn’t fully close. There was also a non-working plug socket and a blown bulb. I can’t fault the staff who were all lovely and quickly happy to help, the food was great and the restaurant and bar had a good atmosphere. I’d be happy to return, but I’d ask for a different room next time."

"Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Bathroom was very small but sufficient. All the staff from check in to bar staff and restaurant staff were fantastic . Restaurant meal was lovely too ."
