The grounds have a very tropical forest atmosphere. The birds and mongoose scurrying in and out of the banana plants, Hawaiian Ginger everywhere, other types of palms with ferns and orchids high in the air, just a very comfortable place to sit and take it all in after a long day of hiking the Pipiwai Trail, ʻOheʻo Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools) and plenty of sightseeing. Speaking of sightseeing, Waioka Pond (the infamous Venus Pool) is just a fifteen-minute walk.The inside is rustic and comfortable. The kitchen is small but has everything you might need. The bedrooms and beds are very nice, but the bed out on the enclosed front porch was amazing! Albert, the host, is great. If you have the chance to meet him, you will be better off for it.
