"Staying at JJ's Hana Hale was a highlight of our trip to Maui. We decided to do a weekend on the Hana Road, and instead of driving back to our resort on the other side of the island, we stayed with the Jahns' Saturday night. They had all of the important amenities - shower, kitchen, comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a few others that were extremely nice bonuses. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this property is if you are allergic to or don't like animals. You share the yard with the farm animals and that just added to the ambiance for us. Fresh eggs for breakfast were a nice touch as well! This felt like the REAL island life. Not the resorts and the beaches, but this place - quiet, friendly, on a clear night you can see the milky way. A truly magical place to stay. And for those looking at the pictures, the goat house is not the VRBO rental!! "

"We loved the property, the location was close enough to the town of Hanna, and Paia but still as peaceful and calm as it gets. The home was updated inside and very clean, we loved the evening breeze and the large eaves on the roof that allowed the windows to stay open even during the evening rain showers. Wi-Fi worked great, and beds were comfortable. One big bonus which our family loved was the little black cat who hung out in the front yard and porch. He was as friendly as can be, and never tried to get in the house, he just hung around out front. The girls loved petting him and feeding him. "
