"I truly couldn’t dream of a better experience or stay than my husband I had at Bed in Broek in Waterland. The property is even more beautiful than it is in pictures and the short walk from the bus station to the property feels like you’re walking straight through a fairy tale. The hosts are attentive to the upmost degree and every single detail has been well thought out so as to make your stay nothing short of incredible. My husband and I regard the amazing breakfast provided by the host as some of the best food we enjoyed in the Netherlands. We also were blown away by the restaurant recommended by the host- De Drie Noten. The bed and rental unit itself were both very comfortable- a perfect size for light travelers. We slept very well, as the unit is air conditioned but also has excellent screens on the windows to allow the natural air and garden sounds/scents in. The hosts were very communicative and answered questions before they arose in our minds. We truly appreciated every moment of our stay in this magical place and were very sad to leave. If you are planning a trip to Amsterdam, staying here will surely enhance your trip. The city is a very short bus ride away from Amsterdam Centraal and the buses are both clean and prompt. I give this property my highest recommendation"

"The hotel is great by itself, yet they overcharge almost everything. They only have twin size bed, and charge 20 euro per night for a topper, they charged me 12 euro for a bottle of milk (normal price is less than 3 euro) and I have to buy three times at this price because I am travelling with a young kid, they also want to charge for baby crib, which is rare to see. The cakes selling the bar are leftovers and not good. There is bus to Amsterdam, but if you want to take a Taxi or Uber, it’s expensive, I was charged over 162 euros by a taxi from airport. Also, they don’t provide adapter (many good hotels can lend to customers) bought one at 18 Euro, I don’t respect people making money in this way. Not recommend. If you have other option, skip this one. Changing me 12 euro for a small bottle of milk is crazy."

"I can't begin to describe how lovely this cottage is. Located next to the hosts' home at the edge of town. The patio is right on the canal, beautiful and quiet, perfect place to enjoy a coffee or watch the birds. House is very cute and comfortable and the hosts were accommodating. Note that the washing machine is not in the cottage but is in the hosts' home - they very kindly washed a load of laundry for us and hung it out to dry. The bikes were a fantastic inclusion to help us explore the area (which I highly recommend), but could benefit from some maintenance."

"This place was the most adorable and cozy place ever! It was sparkling clean, and although we had trouble entering the grounds and being let in, once the employees came out they were so helpful and guided us right to our location! The views are picturesque, and it was all so peaceful!"

"The house was furnished comfortably but the 3 bedroom was up a steep flight of stairs rather than ground level. Restaurants nearby and a few minutes walk into Volendam where there are further choices of bars and restaurants. Everything worked well with check-in on a smartphone. The app to use the key was very slow on my phone. Small pack provided with a bin liner, some washing up liquid and cloth. Very easy to catch bus to Amsterdam Central Station with couple of minutes walk to the bus stop. Create an OVpay account for the busses and other transport. Over 65's can register their age on the account for a discount."
