"We have stayed here many times over the years. Lovely place and they are handling bad storm weather and renovations of one pool well. We booked a pool view but there was no pool in sight from our room, no big deal since we not in the room much. Things have changed over the years as is natural but usually you hope it would be for the better. The aura doesn’t feel as serene or happy, they take away as much of the little things as they can that seem petty to complain about. Such as water coolers that used to be near the towel hits are gone, need to fill in the room or buy bottled from the market or restaurant. The small touches matter. The restaurants have gotten ridiculously expensive, we used to eat at least one meal a day on property and have a few drinks each day. Not anymore. We went to the pool bar for a drink and the server made us pay for it right away, we had hoped to have another but the way he treated changed our minds. 18% tip at the restaurant is automatically on the bill. “Automatically adding a tip or service charge to a restaurant bill is illegal in Mexico under the Federal Consumer Protection Law (enforced by PROFECO), though some tourist-heavy spots still attempt it.”"

"Overall a good stay of your looking for relaxation and not much to do. Property is clean and scenery is beautiful. We stayed in a treehouse and upgraded to an “air conditioned” one, but it wasn’t much help when the room was still very open air. We made it through given this is a very hot season, but I was not a fan of the small ants that were in the beds ,sink, and sheets. We made do, but I’ll probably opt out of treehouse stay the next time :) Not being familiar with the property besides what we saw on line, didn’t realize one of the 2 pools was for villa guests but it was the one that was nearest the cold plunge. Also no access to gym. Just little things I wish could have been described more or option to upgrade more up front. Majority of staff was great, we did encounter a few that were just very serious and not super friendly at the jungle pool. We travel to Mexico frequently and friendly staff is all we encounter so it threw us off a bit. BUT- Gael was amazing and every single one of his recommendations hit the point. The staff in Fausto’s were also great to visit every morning."

"Look no further! This IS THE PLACE! Ocean view and beach is right there in front of property! Beautiful sand! The pool and outdoor area is even better than pics. Tons of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and seating-and even equipped with a big speaker for our music! The condition of everything is like brand new! Binoculars to bird and whale watch! Beach towel, tons of lighting at night! I could go on and on!Interior is super clean and very well stocked! Comfy beds and ac worked great!Neighborhood is walking to the best local spots and a store!Go to Drunken Sailor! John is incredible and his hospitality towards us was truly golden! He is a star. Welcomed us with drinks and had waters/beers stocked for us along with fresh snacks upon arrival!Take advantage of his offerings of cooking for you and making you his famous shrimp cocktail! Everything he put out was a treat and made our stay so easy. It was like we had our own private bartender and chef! Vacation LUX! Pina coladas or margaritas or shots- you name it! He was a pleasure to talk to and be around yet still gave us our space and didn’t overstep. John thank you so much for the stay you have a lovely piece of paradise! Thank you for all the rides to the stores and to and from the airport! And all that you do! You’re a gem! We love Crystal too! Keep up the amazing work you are doing! You are crushing it and providing one of the best STRs we have ever stayed in! Cheers to you!"
