"My husband and I had an overall good stay at W Algarve. The location is beautiful, the staff were warm and helpful, and the Whatever/Whenever team was especially responsive. Any request we made was handled promptly, which we really appreciated. That said, the property did not fully feel like a 5-star luxury resort to us. Our ocean-view room was pretty, but the view was more from the side than direct ocean-facing, which was not as clear from the website photos. We also had a shower leak into the toilet area when we checked in. It was fixed the next day, but this is something that ideally should have been caught before arrival. The bathroom is attractive but not very practical, especially the glass layout and mirror placement. Housekeeping was responsive with amenities, but small proactive touches would help. For example, if a guest repeatedly requests shower caps or vanity kits, it would be thoughtful to leave extras during housekeeping rather than requiring another call each day. We also waited quite a while for the buggy to the beach. In the Algarve heat, having more buggies circulating would make the experience much more comfortable. Food was a highlight. We especially loved Paper Moon, and also enjoyed Vino. Overall, the staff and setting were strong, but more attention to small details and personalization would make the experience feel more truly luxurious. We would consider returning, though it would not be our first choice among 5-star Algarve resorts."

"Wonderful hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again! I got a tour of the facilities as soon as I arrived which I loved as it meant I didn’t have to discover things independently and wonder how things worked. The room was gorgeous, just bear in mind the toilet and shower share the same door, I didn’t mind as I was travelling solo. The food was delicious! Everything I ate tasted good from the breakfast to the lunch to the dinner, everything was tasty! The only room for improvement is the WiFi, at times it would drop if I went from my room to the pool for example but it came back minutes after so not the end of the world. I loved staying here so much and would definitely stay here again if coming to Portugal"

"This resort was truly a wellness hub. Tranquil, calm and a really relaxing stay with perfect access to the beach, lots of pools (no need to fight over beds) and super friendly staff. Will definitely be back!"

"Sublime maison décorée avec beaucoup de goût, très très propre et parfaitement équipée, rien ne manquait aussi bien à ma cuisine, côté piscine ou encore une magnifique salle de sport de compétition. Très proche de la mer (une petite crique juste en face mais beaucoup d'algues) mais une plus grande à 10mn à pieds très très bien. Beaucoup d'excellents restaurants à proximité. Et Cristina parfaite dans son rôle d'hôtesse, très serviable et d'une gentillesses. Sans aucun doute une maison à recommander, pour ma part nous louons depuis plus de 10 ans et c'est une de mes préférées. Adresse à conserver pour un jour y revenir."

"Wonderful breakfast! Nice comfortable room. Beautiful pool area. Staff working in the restaurant/ breakfast are amazing! Short 4-minute walk to the beach. Parking for the hotel is on the street, but there is usually availability if you're willing to park up on the sidewalks like people do in this area. Would definitely stay there again."

"Hotels not that big. Perfect really. Had a great time with the family, made it feel relaxed and peaceful. Theres just a few things that need improving, we found spiders and ants in my room. We could never quite figure out the lights. The Pool closed 7pm which I felt was a bit early, especially being in the Summer. They also do BBQ nights on Thursday… when we called it was fully booked. We would have loved to have experienced it, so perhaps encouraging guests to reserve in advance would help or cater for more. Towels for some reason are changed up at reception instead of the pool area which I found inconvenient. Overall, these were only minor issues and didn’t take away from what was a lovely family holiday. We’d happily return."
