I didn’t know anything about Rio, so my assumption was I had to stay in the beach towns for higher quality hotels and safer environments. "Home away from home ! My wife enjoyed the kitchen as our daughter is a fuzzy eater . Everything was there very clean felt safe . My family felt safe . Pool was comfortable but weather wasn’t perfect so we didn’t enjoy as much as we wanted but otherwise very nice setting . Life guard on duty was nice to see ! Local culture was great we enjoyed the downtown shopping area very economical. Found everything we needed, also very close to apartment building. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍"

"I had just arrived from the airport and my Uber driver was robbed as I sat in the back of the car within a block of this building. No wonder you have to be buzzed in with security behind glass with multiple cameras. I stayed the one night and opted to pay the extra money for a hotel in Ipanema. Totally worth the extra expense to feel safer in a much nicer part of the city."
