"This is an excellent hotel, in a superb position - both for lovely views and access to the town. We had small problem with our room, but on bringing it to the attention of the hotel, this was dealt with promptly and efficiently in very courteous way. Indeed, every member of staff we came into contact with were all extremely friendly. The attached pub is also very popular."

"The Lugger is located in a small fishing village. The village is charming with renovated historic buildings and lovely gardens. There are no shops and just 2 restaurants in the village - the restaurant in The Lugger (excellent!) and The Ship Inn (authentic and good). The hotel restaurant has lovely views of the sea, with indoor and outdoor seating. It's nice to just spend the afternoon with a drink and take the sea view and quiet in. There is also a cozy lounge attached to the dining area. The location is perfect for walking the coastal path, napping and reading. If you wish to travel to other locations in either the surrounding area (beaches) or in Cornwall, a car is a must. You can travel there by train to Truro and take a taxi for about $50. The staff was lovely and helpful."
