"Lovely and cozy stay! It’s easy walking distance to the beach, the pier, and restaurants. The manager wasn’t in when we went last minute and the staff was alarmed that we were able to make a reservation. They were still able to accept our reservation and made it a pleasant stay (esp because it was one night). The rooms were well decorated and bed was comfortable. They have some toiletries if you’ve forgotten yours. If you have a car, you can ask for a parking permit to avoid paying the public...

"The Cavendale was very clean, in an excellent area for visiting the beach as it was just over the road. I had a room with a beach view but you sometimes get a view of the port area it’s not a commercial port. There’s no worry. It’s just a good view as well. The staff are really helpful bonus for me when I was there was that there was actually a fan in the room to be used obviously at the moment we’re going through a heat wave this is June 26. "I can't fault the Hotel except for the large number of stairs to climb. we were on the second floor At 68 I had not anticipated the climb everytime I went back to the room. I must add the Breakfast was good but yet down more stairs This must not be taken as a bad review but I would urge others to take this comment into consideration"

"Wonderful room, fantastic view. Close to all amenities. Friendly host. Just one niggle. We decided we would like the fish fish for breakfast during our stay. After we ordered we were told that there was a £4 each surcharge for the fish. That was OK, but there was no mention of this on the menu or anywhere in the details of the guest house. Maybe it should be added to the breakfast menu. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and will go back."
