"The hotel is inside the city walls. Upon arrival by car, get instructions from the front desk before you venture beyond the city gates. The hotel is old but very comfortable, clean, and efficient. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so confirm a space when reserving. The bonus is you cannot get any more centrally located. I would stay here again, for sure."

"I love this hotel so much it was my second visit. I describe it as wholesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is superb for train station (2mins), city wallls (5 mins) and parkrun start line (5 min walk) Lucca is special and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back next next to stay and this lovely little hotel but please don’t forget the 3 mins plug adapter for Italy and not a standard EU plug."

"Amazing Palazzo!! The view is enchanting and magical!!!! The location is fantastic. We enjoyed our week long stay. The apartment was very clean. "We were three families of nine people who stayed at Villa Buonamici in Sept 2026. Villa Buonamici is amazing. Such a beautiful home well located within a short easy walk to the old town of Lucca. Lucca Apartments and Villas were so easy and professional to deal with - everything was super easy and communication outstanding. The information they provided beforehand was perfect and assisted us with organising day trips with Come and See Italy and a cooking class with Tamara Bianchi from Lucca Cooking Classes which were amazing experiences. Our host Mini was fantastic, from welcoming us to the villa, organising taxis to the train station on our last day, to facilitating a booking at the amazing Bucca San Antonio. Mini was very proactive and nothing was too much trouble for her. Highly recommend."
