The Fishing Cottage served as the perfect backdrop for our gathering, bringing us together after journeys from as far as London and Japan, as well as those who drove up locally. The genuine warmth of your hospitality truly made the difference, and it seemed like everyone had an absolute blast. "Beautifully kept property which entertained all six of us and fit our needs very well. More than enough space for all 3 generations to use. Much of the house is old and subsequently there are quirks, however, everything was clean, in great shape, and intentionally decorated to feel very modern, cozy, and inviting. The kitchen was full of utensils and supplies and we had no issues cooking many meals. We really enjoyed having access to the pier, beach and boats. The host provided many local spots...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our family retreat to the North River Farmhouse.over the Labor day holiday! The farmhouse has been thoughtfully appointed with families in mind: from the comfortable beds and beautifully decorated gathering spaces to the ample 3 acre grounds with water views all around, this is now our family’s favorite Chesapeake Bay hideaway. The water front private pool, pier, yard games, fire pit, along with indoor games, books and a fully stocked kitchen exceeded all our expectations....

"My husband, chihuahua and I stayed at the cottage for 4 days while in Virginia. We loved the view of the water from all the windows that allowed natural light in. We watched all the birds and crabs while sitting on the back porch. The location is great for visiting all the Historic areas. We took a segway tour and Ghost tour in Yorktown. We spent a whole day walking around in Williamsburg. Being a history buff my husband really enjoyed it. I even learned a few things. LOL I would recommend...

"I held my daughters 18th birthday party here, and it was incredible! Plenty of room for hanging out and great for overnight guests (lots of rooms and places to sleep). Beautiful house, inside and out! Lots of things to keep people busy and entertained, but just as many for relaxing. Fantastic stay overall with a wonderful host!!! Would absolutely recommend."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and for the first time room service actually took the time to knock on our door and kindly asked if we needed anything to be replaced! Instead of me reaching out to them kudos for that , I appreciate it that gesture. Overall the property was well taken care of. I stayed with my family of 6 rooms were spacious. Good option to stay at if you are in the area. "
