It was a really nice place to stay while traveling. Easily accommodated two adults and four young kids. Our dog was also pleased there was a sizable grass area to stretch her legs after traveling all day. The inside of the cabin was well decorated. Very modern interior. And as others have stated, the view of the river was also very enjoyable. The back deck was a very relaxing place to just sit and visit. The upstairs loft with the twins is a tight overhead for adults but still doable (me and my...

We enjoyed staying in this lovely historic mansion in Vicksburg, Mississippi. We only stayed one night, in the 3rd floor attic room with a king bed and a queen bed. Our toddler had a BLAST climbing two flights of stairs every time we entered/exited out room haha. Noelle's hospitality at breakfast was top-notch and made my day. I'd totally stay here again.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. I always stay at Hampton Inn's. NOW, the only thing I didnt like was the fact that Expedia charged more money for the room then the price I could have got if I called the hotel direct. In fact $20 more.
So because of this unfortunate error on my part for using Expedia, who claims to get you the cheapest price.

The bed had very little support. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable just to sit on. Therefore, the only place to sit was at the desk chair or the no support bed.

Very gracious hosts and the breakfast was wonderful. The conversation was even better. The room was lit or staying in a Mississippi history book. We loved it and had a great experience. We were in town for my family reunion and didn’t want to stay in the chain motel my family blocked off rooms at. I highly recommend it also because it close to all the best restaurants and venues.

I happened upon this place while searching online and liked that it was a more primitive place than the the large mansion b&b's. This cottage housed the editor of the newspaper during the Seige of Vicksburg, and had given up its wallpaper to use for printing the paper when the town was being starved of supplies. The stay included a fancy breakfast that was served at the Duff Mansion the next morning, so I got the mansion experience just the same! The breakfast was served by a man named David...
