"My daughter attends school in Mississippi so I flew in to see a couple of her volleyball games. I previously stayed in Vicksburg, but I thought I would try Natchez this time…what a special place! The Natchez Grand Hotel was absolutely charming! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. This will be my “go to” place to stay for any future visits."

"Our stay at Monmouth was truly chicken soup for the soul. It was exactly the kind of peaceful, relaxing weekend we needed. Sitting by the pond fishing, reading, relaxing and just enjoying the beautiful property made it so hard to leave. The food at Restaurant 1818 was phenomenal, but the people made our stay even more special. Gia was so sweet and accommodating at dinner, Nichell kept us in stitches at breakfast, Ms. Ivory gave us the best tour and made the history of Monmouth come alive, and Dao at the bar was wonderful—so friendly, engaging and accommodating. There’s just something special about this place. Beautiful grounds, wonderful food, incredible hospitality, sweet kitten named Bob and a peacefulness that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. We left feeling refreshed, grateful and already wanting to come back. ❤️"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless, the cookies were delicious and the staff was as Friendly as could be. Breakfast was delicious. We were sorry to hear they don’t offer dinner anymore, but the staff helped us find a nearby restaurant."

"Priceless balcony view of the Mississippi River and bridge. The room and bathroom were both quite spacious, and the staff was friendly. Minuses were that the internet connection was unreliable and frequently dropped, and noise from the hallway and outside was easy to hear. Breakfast was not included in the price, which felt like a missed opportunity. Despite those issues, the room quality and outstanding river views made this a memorable stay."

"What we appreciated the most was how peaceful it was sitting on the back deck and watching the Mississippi River barge traffic. Even though we were relatively close to a busy street, the location of the house and the natural surroundings limited the sound. What also amazed us was the house location was ideal for getting to anywhere in Vicksburg. But I must repeat sitting and relaxing on the deck was probably the best part of the trip."

"This was an incredible home. By far, the cleanest most well-maintained historic home I’ve ever stayed or eaten in. And better maintained than 95% of the tours I have toured as well. Gloria was a wonderful host. Breakfast was delicious and the property was perfect —a 10 out of 10. I also want to know that the value of staying in this Home is very significant most places at this caliber cost more."

"8 of us came up for our annual two day fishing tournament on Lake Bruin. The property was perfect for us. We could have definitely slept more than 8, but 4 trucks hooked to boats was about the max we could fit to park. We enjoyed the open floor plan kitchen and living area. It was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and I plan to for our annual trip next year."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. For some reason we were under the impression that we could swim or cool off in the water. Not the case. Not sure where the fault lies but it is/was not an option. The rest of the rental was as described."
