Good hotel with all necessary services provided. No issue to find a parking place close to the hotel. 5 min in car to reach the city center. The breakfast is costly.

I liked this place! They have a big gym, and the equipment is ok. I worked out every day. It is also a nice area for running, close to the seaside but also the Parque Urbano up the hill. I ate at the breakfast buffet every day. They could use better cereal, like Alpen Muesli, but it was great they had soy milk. Lots of fruits and other options for carnivores. The evening dinner buffet was also super convenient on bad weather days or if you already walked enough. They have a parking garage that is steep to get into and out of, but it is also easy to find parking on the street weekends and mornings/evenings.

It was a clean hotel, I would recommend it to family and friends, the only thing was their pillows aren’t the best compared to other hotels. The carpet in our room was full of stains. Other than that I can’t complain, staff were nice and especially the gentleman at the bar he went out of his way to serve us coffee after hours.

VIP” overdoes it

The hotel is OK. Reception area, bar and restaurant are all nice with a modern feel. The gym is also good with big spaces and lots of equipment. The rooms though are very tired and feel more like an old travel lodge. Air con was ancient and didn’t work properly so it was an awful nights sleep with poor pillows too.

Excellent staff, reception very efficient and helpful. Room carpet had stains and woodwork of the cabinets/ fridge was old and chipped. Air conditioning not effective at cooling room.Fridge barely cold. Shower above bath very weak water pressure ,barely enough water came out. Room serviced daily and was good. A nice stay despite the small highlighted issues. I would return to a different room as i understand showers and aircon were better in them. Well done team!

Although this was more than walking distance from city of Ponta Delgada it still was close enough to drive, bus, etc. There were shopping and dining options in and near the hotel. Staff at front desk and bar were great, and we enjoyed it here for our last day before our flight, and drove to city after check out before we flew home in the afternoon.

Friendly and helpful staff. Did not use many of the amenities, but from what I can tell had everything you could ask for. Comfortable rooms, a little dated but had all things you would expect.

This property was in a great location. Everything was walkable but at the same time at a decent distance from the city. Walking distance also to the pineapple plantation which is a must see. Only a 10 minute drive from the airport so very quick and easy to and from there. @exploration_wonders approved !

I was happy to spend my holidays in the comfortable VIP Executive Hotel in Porta Delgada. The only point to improve is to propose a more various breakfast. All other points related to my staying are excellent. Looking forward to come back

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. 15 min walk to city center. It would be easier if I could charge all services ( sauna, pool towel, restaurant,etc) to my room rather than paying for everything right on spot.

Overall nice place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We got there in the morning and they didn't have any early check in but did hold our luggage so we could go out until the room was ready. We had breakfast included and the food was average. Housekeeping took our extra keycard that we left in the light switch every time they came in. It is an extra cost to use the jacuzzi and sauna area. Not all the jets worked in one of the jacuzzi's. On our 2nd to last night we noticed the a/c was leaking. They promptly came up and did something but the next day it was leaking again. They offered to change our room but we declined since it was our last night. Henrique was absolutely amazing. Always smiling and quick to help with anything you would need or any questions. The staff at the bar and restaurant were not very friendly. If you are walking the city is down a hill but a quick walk. Just be aware you need to walk up the hill to return. Lots of food options close by. Safe area.

Large room size and great balcony view…

The hotel is not city center. It is a bit of a walk or an inexpensive Uber. The carpets need shampooing cleaning or replacing. The rooms are. A nice size as well as thr bathrooms, lots of space. Deep tubs and good body lotion. The balcony had a nice view of the rolling and if the water. The front staff were very friendly. Avoid the breakfast, better places to eat in the city and front host was over officious and rude. I decided not to complain because there was a line to see the manager. The hosts English and manners could use some improvement. Rio was very friendly as was their porter Ruben and a woman with bright eyes and dark hair. The manager on staff was young and had a similar surliness to the breakfast host, the attitude seemed all about money instead hosting and comfort. Hire more people like Rio and Ruben and the woman who’s name I didn’t get. Over all for a good price k would stay again because of the room sizes. Otherwise find something more city center The pool is small.
